Lena's eyes lit up as she watched Kara land softly on her balcony, outfitted in her Supergirl regalia, blonde hair looking perfect (as if she wasn't just flying at seventy miles per hour). The hero had a bright genuine smile on her face, blue eyes sparkling as she walked inside.
"Supergirl! To what do I owe the pleasure?" Lena greeted with a quirk of her brow.
"Oh nothing! Just wanted to visit you!" Kara grinned — a smile so bright she could rival the sun — before stepping closer and planting a soft kiss on her lips, leaving Lena slightly dazed. Sure, they may have been dating for almost a year now but the effect Kara has on her has never changed. The kisses they shared always left her breathless.
"Careful now Supergirl, we wouldn't want to start any rumours," she said with a wink. "Everyone knows I'm dating Kara Danvers, how will they react if they see me with National City's hero?"
Kara chuckled softly and scratched her neck. "I think Jess knows who I am." Lena's eyes expanded to the size of tennis balls and Kara gave her a sheepish shrug. "Every time I visit you as Kara, she drops these hints?"
"Right..."
"Um, yesterday I brought her coffee she said to me 'Kara Danvers, not just a reporter but a true hero.' She also winked at the end." The blonde wrung her hands together and Lena couldn't help but chuckle slightly.
"I think she meant you were a hero for bringing her coffee?"
"No, she also said other stuff..." Kara scrunched up her brows as she recalled those moments of slight panic that she'd been found out. "One other time she asked me what she thought of Supergirl — like in terms of hot-ness." She paused before adding, "Even though she's dating Pam from HR."
"Well I think she's very hot," Lena said and made the point clear that she wasn't talking about Pam by raking her eyes down her girlfriend's body with a suggestive smile. The hero blushed which was very unhero-like.
"Not helping Lena!" Kara said exasperatedly, flailing her arms around, "another person knows my secret!"
"Well no offense Kara but..."
"But what?"
"Kara, you're not very good at hiding your identity. Nor are you very sneaky," Lena teased with the corner of her lip quirked up into a smile.
"I can be sneaky!" Kara protested with a pout. Lena's heart warmed at Kara who was exuding cuteness from every pore.
"You told me you were having coffee with Kara Danvers at 10pm once," she pointed out with a chuckle, "who has coffee with someone at 10pm?"
Kara opened and closed her mouth for a while before biting her lip, thinking of a response.
"Some people!"
Lena laughed softly, shaking her head at her adorableness and stepped forward, wrapping her arms around Kara's neck, kissing away her adorable pout.
The once PG-13 kiss soon became very heated as Lena tangled her fingers in her blonde locks, pulling her impossibly closer than before and felt Kara's strong arms hold her up. The space was quickly filled with hot open-mouthed kisses, Lena could hear her heart pounding in her ears. She felt Kara's warm fingers slip under her shirt, tracing across her stomach causing her to shiver even though the room's temperature had suddenly shot up.
It was weird to think that just over a year ago, Lena was sad, lonely and pining desperately after her best friend who she is now making out with passionately during her work hours, which perhaps... wasn't exactly too professional of her.
In the intensity of it all, Lena didn't realise she was now sitting on her desk with Kara in front of her. The blonde then moved her lips down her neck, leaving a trail of soft kisses while Lena closed her eyes, letting out a soft moan and enjoying the feeling of her soft lips against her skin.
Kara suddenly froze which didn't help the fact that Lena's body was enveloped with fire (which needed to be dealt with as soon as possible) and she tried not to whimper at the loss of contact (wow she was a mess). The CEO looked at Kara who had an expression which resembled a deer in a pair of headlights, tilting her head in an adorable fashion, listening out.
"Someone's coming," Kara whispered and quickly darted into a nearby supply closet and just left a very flustered, very confused and very disheveled Lena perched on the desk.
She muttered some colourful expletives as she processed this information and tried to fix her hair, along with her very askew button-up.
The knock on the door made her jump and to her horror she realised her makeup must be all over her face.
Muttering even more expletives, she ran as fast as her high heels could take her to the cupboard where she stored emergency toiletries. Once she had secured and extracted the baby wipes, she ran again — like a T-Rex might I add — back to her desk and looked in her compact mirror.
Lena almost had a heart attack when she saw that her red lipstick was completely smeared across her face, leaving streaks of pink in its wake, as if a hyperactive child had haphazardly tried to draw a clown.
She swore even more as she frantically wiped it off and slapped a new layer on in record time. She breathed a sigh of relief once she was done.
There was another knock on her door. Composing herself (and hoping her face wasn't completely red from the chaotic scrubbing) she put on her CEO mask, forcing her voice to be steady.
"Come in."
The door opened to reveal Jess trying to push up her glasses while holding a bundle of papers and looking slightly worried — all at the same time.
"You didn't answer for a while, I was worried," Jess greeted with a concerned smile and Lena's face softened a bit.
"Sorry Jess, I mustn't have heard you," Lena said and internally thanked her voice for not shaking. "I was busy doing something."
Jess smiled a bit at that and Lena swore that she heard the assistant mutter 'or doing someone' as she received the pile of papers from her and stared at her. She's one-hundred percent sure her assistant knew way too much.
Jess cleared her throat quietly and pushed up her glasses, seemingly trying to hide a smile, "The paperwork needs to be signed for next Tuesday on the fifth."
She looked over the first page and nodded. "Thank you, is that all?"
"Yep!" The assistant smiled cheerily as if she was trying to distract the CEO from something which caused Lena to look at her confusedly.
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutely!" Jess said and walked towards the door. "That and you also have lipstick all over your neck and your shirt collar! Have a nice day!" she yelled all in one breath as she exited the room. Lena's face turned a beet red, processing this alarming information.
"Fuck."

"Alex! Did you burn the toaster again?!" Maggie yelled from the kitchen as Alex sat on the sofa, trying to hide her sheepish expression.
"D-Don't you mean the toast?" She tried to play it off casually, as if she totally didn't set fire to the poor kitchen appliance in a fit of rage earlier — but it was totally an accident!
"No babe, I mean the actual toaster!" Her wife shouted back before coming out of the kitchen to unceremoniously dump the smouldering carcass of the once shiny aforementioned toaster onto the coffee table, right in front of Alex who chewed the inside of her cheek nervously. She didn't look angry though — at least —but rather slightly bewildered.
