Steve stared at the piece of paper Chin had given him before he had gone to save his niece. It had a name and an address. Steve stared at the name that had been scribbled across the scrap. Y/N L/N. Steve looked up at the door and knocked, "Jeez Chin, what do you need now? I am helping...you..." The end of the sentence trailed off as you stared at man on the other side of the door. "You've been helping Chin?" Danny smacked his head in his hands. "I think her outburst of 'jeez Chin' might answer that question, " You waved them in quickly, checking down the street before shutting the door and locking it. You pointed the gun you had at them. "Names and how do you Chin?"
"I'm Danny Williams, this is Steve McGarrett we work with Chin." You nodded and lowered the gun. "A girl can't be too careful." You began to lead them to the study aka the base of operations. "When Chin called, I had finished an undercover stint with the FBI on drug traffickers, he said his niece had been kidnapped and was here in Mexico. I had some leave and used it to help him find her. But you're here so I'm guessing that didn't go to plan." Steve shrugged, and Danny explained what had gone down. You swore under your breath and asked them if they needed anything. "Guns." Was the monosyllabic answer you received, you nodded, "That I can do."
"Please , didn't SEAL school teach you about manners?" His partner asked in the background.
After saving Chin and getting Sara back, you were all on your way back to Hawaii. Steve moved from his seat and sat opposite you. "I just wanted to apologise for the way I acted towards you. I was just..."
"Caught off guard because you thought I wasn't what you expected?" He nodded with a slight smile. He helped you grab your bag from the overhead compartment. "No, you weren't what I was expecting, you're much more beautiful."
"You have no idea about me." You smiled at Steve. "Do you want to work with Five-0? We could use someone with your skills." You both exited the plane and he started walking you to the car your friend had dropped off for you.
"I bet you say that to all the girls." He laughed, "No, just the ones who can beat up a trained mercenary." You opened the boot and he placed your bag into the trunk. You grinned. "I'd like to work with you on Five-0." His eyes lit up at your response, he moved forwards a little. "I don't really date people I work with." You managed to stutter out as you tried to swallow the lump in your throat. "Neither do I." He leaned in closer to you, his nose brushed yours as he tilted his head to the left. You swallowed again, "But um..." You drew your bottom lip between your teeth. "We're not working together now." Steve pointed out as he pulled you closer in his arms, and he brushed his nose against yours again tilting his head to the right this time. "So, do you want to um..." He brushed his lips against yours as he spoke. You leaned up to firmly kiss him and he kissed back pressing you against the car door. You both pulled away and you let out a stuttering breath. "Wow." You muttered, he grinned against your lips. He hummed, before kissing you again. Your lips danced for what felt like minutes, you melted into each other with this kiss. Steve pressed you against the car more firmly and held you with a gentle touch. You both drew apart, "You were right, I had no idea." Steve sighed into your mouth.
