Around the time everyone finished their battle up top, another was taking place beneath the waves.
Mako and Rienn were focusing on the commander while Shiro worked on killing all of the followers it had brought with it. The fight was much different than what Rune and the others had faced, and down there in the open water, the Sahagin were in their element.
While a normal Sahagin might be classified as high B rank on land, their speed and power jumped significantly underwater. Now they could all be considered high A rank monsters with the commander achieving speed and power equal to a prince.
Shiro, for her part, was thankful that she could fight more or less the same underwater as she could on land. She had jumped in on impulse thinking that Rune and the others could handle things up top, but she had no idea whether or not it would work out.
I wanted to focus mainly on Shiro for the underwater segment. I feel like there is a lot of cool things you could do with the power and tools that she has. I still made sure that Rienn and Mako got a little bit of time in the spotlight, though. By the way, was yesterdays chapter enjoyable. Believe it or not I worked in collaberation with someone close to me for it. I did try and edit in a way that kept the same style and atmosphere. I wonder if it the difference was noticible?
