Just as Nina was about to run upstairs to greet them, Duncan appeared on the staircase.

He had heard the noise coming from downstairs.

"Mr. Duncan," Maurice approached the staircase, looking up at the "captain" who was peering down, "I found the symbol you showed me in a document about the Ancient Crete Kingdom... at least, it's very similar."

Duncan noticed the slight bloodshot in Maurice's eyes and the slightly swollen eyelids, clearly, the old scholar had gone to great lengths to find these materials, but there was also a hint of excitement in his eyes, an unusually invigorated spirit— an expression that comes only when one is immersed in research and finally achieves results.

Duncan glanced at Nina and Alice downstairs, nodding slightly, "You all keep an eye on the shop."

He then looked at Maurice, "Come upstairs to talk about it."
