"Uncle Duncan, I'm off to school!"
In the cheerful greeting, Nina trotted down the stairs. She turned to wave at the second floor before heading towards the front door.
The weekend was over, and it was time to go to school again.
But she hadn't quite reached the door when Nina suddenly stopped. She saw a figure moving behind the shelves near her—it was Sherry.
"Ah, Sherry," Nina said happily, standing still and waving to the girl in front of her. "I was wondering where you went—are you coming with me?"
"With you?" Sherry blinked in confusion. "With you where?"
"To school, today is..." Nina started instinctively, but then realized halfway and her face took on a slightly embarrassed look, "Ah, sorry, I forgot..."
Sherry wasn't her classmate and didn't attend school there. The pleasant times they had spent on campus were just an act—Nina knew this, but those were real moments that actually happened, and often she would forget.
