The brunette was named Moira MacTaggert, a spy who had stumbled upon a conspiracy involving a hidden mutant organization during her mission. Coincidentally, the mastermind behind this conspiracy was none other than Sebastian Shaw, Eric Lensherr's mother's killer!
Shaw, being a mutant himself, explained his continued success even after the Nazi downfall. He was ambitious and a warmonger, intending to incite a nuclear war during the tense US-Soviet Cold War by controlling a US military officer to interfere with nuclear missile deployments, hoping to provoke the Soviets.
Moira tried to report this vital information to her superiors, but they didn't believe her, being unaware of mutants. Left with no other option, she sought the renowned Charles Xavier for help.
Watching this, Eric Lensherr couldn't help but remark, "Charles, what an incredible and powerful ability. He should make good use of it!"
Soon, he would realize that Charles Xavier, the famous Professor X, had abilities far beyond what was currently shown.
Logan Howlett, on the other hand, wore a look of disgust. "Why are there always ambitious bastards like this? What's wrong with world peace? Why must they incite wars?"
Eric Lensherr responded, "In the thousands of years of human civilization, ambitious individuals have been as numerous as grains of sand on a beach. More importantly, Logan, do you know that often these despised war-mongers and the chaos and wars they cause drive human civilization's progress? You could say human history is a history of warfare."
Wolverine wrinkled his nose and snarled, "You see your enemy, and you're not even angry?"
