" May evil be banished from this world. May the life and death will be in balance. This is our slogan."
Agam spat out cold words, unlike his normal warm self. His eyes weren't gentle like usual instead it was overbearing cold like northern winds.
The sword in his hand looked like that in the myths but it wasn't just warm and gentle, it was more savage and destructive.
" You, monster!"
The bishop roared with anger, forgetting about his missing hand whilst trying to claim his head but before he could reach Agam, an arrow pierced through his heart with unparalleled precision. Not just that a bullet also hit his forehead as he couldn't understand what was happening. The old cardinal opened his slightly, not caring about his subordinate's death instead he was more interested in them.
" Magnificent. You are all very talented people. I will enjoy brainwashing your minds."
The sudden declaration of his intent reinforced the debuff magic as the ground glowed sinisterly. The bloody hand and smell turned into life-like people as they howled and cried with despair like they were in pain and suffering.
" You, bastard! HOW MANY PEOPLE DID YOU KILL FOR THIS SPELL?"
Agam raised his voice, destroying the bodies that were trying to hold him down. He was familiar with blood spells due to his training and he knew all these spells required mediums, including their blood and sacrificial blood which meant the kill counts on his head.
" Oh, child. This is all for our God and the greater good. These all are meaningful sacrifices for the world."
Xerxes laughed with a sinister face that shadowed his heart. The old benevolent face of his was replaced with the face of those who went astray from sanity.
" I see!"
Suddenly a hoarse voice came out from their behind as a man who was wearing simple armor appeared behind them whilst holding the head of a familiar face. It was the head of his younger brother whom he swore to protect but in front of his justice, he wouldn't show any mercy to others, including his own blood and flesh.
The sword that was tainted by his brother's blood shone under the dim light, showing his conviction and justice.
" You are even madder than I thought, Aston. You beheaded your last bloodline and held it in your hand like it was a trophy. Puhaha!"
Xerxei said with a touch of sarcasm, calculating how to escape from this place because Aston was a grand Master like himself. Moreover, he was an experienced hand-to-hand combat expert with various experiences, thus making him deadly to confront him in a narrow place like this.
" Your eyes are darting around, old cancer. Your breath is shallow as the pond of muddy water and your body is weak as the baby goblins. You cannot escape from me today."
Aston finished his words coldly, dashing through the hall with incredible speed. The bishop tried to block him, but before he even realized his head was rolling on the ground.
"A monster is a monster after all. I should have killed you when you were a teenager."
Xerxei murmured calmly, holding a magic ball in his hand as he activated the spell. The magic circle instantly surrounded his body, teleporting him to the fixed point that he set up before.
" Old man!"
Aston tried to slash him but only a fabric of clothes remained in his hand. The painful and sorrowful roar was similar to those who were robbed of their all belongings.
He knelt on the floor with a head in his hand, not showing his expression to others as the knights rushed in. Lisha and Qattara saw Licht who was panting with a bloody face, rushed to his side.
Lisha gently wiped his face while Qattara checked his injury to make sure he was alright because he owed her and she didn't write any IOU.
" Phew! It isn't a big deal. How did you manage to stay alive after facing such a monster?"
Qattara asked with puzzlement, not knowing what to expect. She could tell they were all at the master level and it was logically impossible to survive this long. She was curious about their story.
