章節 20: Chapter 18 Special squadron
A few days have passed since the exam. Licht was preparing to move out from the hotel. He packed his clothes and geared himself. Like usual, he combed his hair and sprayed his perfume.
Other than that, he was wearing a uniform. It was a black uniform with black boots. He took a deep breath and picked up his sword.

He locked his room and went downstairs. Although he reached his initial goal, he felt strange because his instincts were warning him to be careful.

Licht reached the reservation table and saw the owner lady. She was looking at him with a smile.
" Are you ready to go? We will miss you. Especially, Linda was complaining about you yesterday."
Linda quickly rushed out from the dining hall with incredible speed. She stood before her mom and blocked her mouth. Her face was blushed red.
" Mom, what are you doing?"
The owner lady's eyes turned crescent as she teased her daughter. Linda was embarrassed to confront Licht because her mother spilled the beans.
As for Licht, he acted as if he didn't see her. Something was warning him to shut up. Otherwise, he might become a corpse today. Hence, he looked up to the ceilings and whistled.
Linda noticed his movements and understood his intentions. She burst of laughter after seeing his innocent face. She thought he was cute.
" Licht, don't forget to visit."
Licht smiled brightly and waved his hand. He turned around and walked towards the exit.
An hour passed away in a blink of an eye. Licht was standing in front of the barracks while waiting for his other teammates. Strangely, he didn't receive any information regarding his teammates.

Colonel Ares came out from the barracks with a familiar face. It was the inspector whom Lich saw during his procedure. She was smiling to her ears when she was speaking with him.
Suddenly, they halted their movements. Officer woman saw Licht and opened her eyes wide. She turned her head around to question Colonel Ares, but he already left to the building.
Officer woman understood that she was scammed. She never imagined that she would be the captain of a newbie squad.
" Damn that bastard, he scammed me again. Ah, I hate him so much."
She gnashed her teeth with anger and stomped on the ground. Her eyes were filled with rage and humiliation.
Licht silently backed up and waited for his other teammates. Fortunately, it didn't take long to they appear. Foremost, Licht recognized them because they were the candidates who had participated in the exam with him. Particularly, Cynthia almost crushed into him with explosive speed.
" Lili! I have missed you. I never thought you would be my squad mate. We are going to be colleagues. How cool is that!"
Licht laughed dryly with embarrassment. He was also glad to meet her.
As for others, they were gazing at them with weird looks. They were either thinking strange thoughts or feeling cringe.
The officer woman sighed and fixed her attire. She proudly placed her hands behind her back and stood tall. She took a deep breath and lifted her head up.
" Now listen up. From now on, I am your captain. I haven't received your records. Therefore I don't know any of your abilities. But, I have an overall idea of your strength because you were accepted into' Black Blade '. My name is Regina Springfield. I am a major, and I am an advanced marks woman. "
She looked at them with a sharp gaze like a dagger. Her aura was no joke to them. It was like an arrow pointing at their head.
Licht didn't feel intimated due to his power. In fact, he deliberately acted like he was intimated, or else it would be troublesome for him. He suspected Regina wasn't a normal woman. She was a hunter who had hunted people for many years.
" Licht Silvercrest, step up. From now on, you are the vice captain. I hope you can do your best. Besides, you suck at acting. I know you are alright."
Licht was taken back from her words. His calculations immediately fell apart. He gazed around his surroundings and saw others were looking at him with question marks. Then he pointed to himself.
" Me?"
