Apparently, the Crystal Palace wasn't called as such because of its notable crystal spires. It was called the Crystal Palace because the inside of it was made mostly of crystals. Aside from the high domed ceilings and floors that looked like they were made of marble, the walls were crystals through and through.
The walls, they were wide and imposing, and I could see our refracted reflections on the translucent expanse that ranged from pink to violet, depending on where the light hit the strongest. I watched as the images of me, Arin and the girls trailing behind us bob and swirl on the crystal walls, distorted beautifully upon the shiny surface.
And wherever there was sunlight filtering through from a window, the fragments of light casted by the crystals would the dance as we passed. As went deeper inside, I thought Arin and her "girls" were going to take me to the master of the palace or whoever owned this place. But they took me directly to a room.
