Although Esmeralda was not omniscient to know what was happening all around her or why it was happening the way it was, she could assume what was running in the mind of the timid girl standing in front of him. Look, she knew better than anyone the image that precedes her. Was it a lie? No, not at all! She agreed that she was a villainess in real life as well as reel life. However, the difference was that she acted such only to some selected people and she couldn't see the beautiful and timid girl falling into that list. 

She wanted to ask Selene to relax as she didn't bite but she couldn't use her usual tone which was full of thorns and acidic sarcasm. What could she do to make the girl relax? She should have brought Kierra or Hazel with her. Ah, it sounded like a bad idea.
