Fish took the form of a small tabby cat and followed Professor McGonagall around the castle.
The cat searched intently, its little nose kept twitching, its mouth was always slightly open, and its pair of triangular ears kept swiveling, missing no clues around it.
It was partly because Fish wanted to catch Sirius Black to get the reward, but also because the cat knew that the bad guy was trying to harm Harry, and the cat would do everything he could to protect his best friend.
But, unfortunately, Fish and the professors had searched the entire castle and had found no trace of Sirius Black, not even a scent or trace of him.
"Obviously this is not normal," Professor Snape said, "It is obvious that Black is aware of Fish's presence, someone must have tipped him off."
"If that's the case, then Remus is rather less suspicious, Severus..."
Dumbledore sighed, no longer dodging the question, and replied, "He has only known Fish for two months, and as far as I know, Fish and Remus are not close friends, he may not have noticed Fish's specialty in the sense of smell. "
"It's no secret that Fish has a keen sense of smell, not that it's a secret at school, he could easily find out."
Snape continued to argue, undeterred.
"That's enough, Professor Snape." Dumbledore's tone was a little harsher, "I don't want to hear any more of this unfounded speculation!".
"I understand... Headmaster."
Snape said with a grim look on his face, as he lowered his head.
The conversation between the two had not been overheard by Fish, as once the search was over, the young kitten had been led back to the Great Dining Hall by Professor McGonagall.
"Cross the river and knock down the bridge! Ingratitude! Minerva, you great villain, nya!"
? (●`Д′●)?
Of course, the kitty didn't like this arrangement, he was thinking of going to Fluffy and the others to have another Halloween for the night!
"Black is hiding somewhere, it's too dangerous for you to go out there!"
"It's not like he's behind Fish!" The kitten cheerfully replied, "And I can still scratch him with my paws.... Fish is awesome!"
?(●?ω?●)?
Hearing that he could meet Black, Fish got even more excited.
Unfortunately, this time, the little cat was still mercilessly restrained by Professor McGonagall.
"What did you promise me yourself? you want me to take away your House points?"
Professor McGonagall said menacingly, pulling Fish's cheeks.
Although it is very troublesome to face this little cat's challenge from time to time, after defeating Fish, it can actually make the little cat obedient for a long time.
"When Fish remembers how to be a tiger, he will have to fight you again, Minerva!"
?(●ΦДΦ●)?
The annoyed kitten gave a stern lecture to Professor McGonagall and then returned to the Great Dining Hall with a growl.
But when Fish returned to the Great Dining Hall, he was soon in a better mood, as this was the first time the cat had experienced a large group of people sleeping together, and this kind of fun and novelty always cheers up a cat.
"Fish, there are a few empty sleeping bags over there, take your pick."
Percy pointed to some empty sleeping bags among the Gryffindor students and whispered to Fish.
As soon as he finished speaking, however, Daphne, who was pretending to sleep, jumped up, "Fish, there's an empty sleeping bag next to me, you can sleep here!"
With her in the lead, all the little witches in the auditorium "woke up" and greeted Fish asking him to sleep next to them.
Percy couldn't imagine that so many students were pretending to be asleep, he thought that everyone would be asleep at this hour, even he and the other Prefects who were on duty were already sleepy ...
These little witches are too patient to lure the cat!
What's worse, because of their noise, the other students who had fallen asleep woke up, and then some of them joined in and started to compete for the cat's sleeping place.
Since the sleeping places had been arranged according to their respective Houses, it was natural for the four Houses to fight each other, and what had been a quiet Great Dining Hall suddenly became a very noisy one.
"Lie down and go to bed! I'll have to deduct your House points if you don't!"
Percy shouted angrily, if the teachers heard the commotion, it would affect his prefect evaluation!
However, no one paid any attention to him, and the bickering continued, even as the prefects, who were supposed to help him keep order, joined the fray from their respective Houses to lure the cat.
"Nyajajajajaja!!! Fish is very popular nya!".
(●≧?≦●)
The kitty said cheekily, proud that so many people liked his.... Well... it would be nice if they didn't always want to rub his head.
"That's it!"
Percy had a flash of inspiration and shouted aloud, "Stop arguing! Let Fish choose!"
Everyone was immediately silent, and they all turned to look at the little cat at Percy's side.
"Nya!"

The cat looked startled by the stares and backed up two steps.
Then he was grabbed by Percy.
"Come on Fish, you choose, who do you want to sleep with? Take your pick and go to bed, or Professor McGonagall will be angry again if you keep this up."
Percy knew how to make Fish behave, and he brought up Professor McGonagall.
Fish's big eyes roamed the Great Dining Hall.
If it came down to his personal preference, his first choice would be Hermione Granger, who he had felt close to recently, but when the cat had looked at her, she had seemed as dangerous as any girl who had tried to rub his head, so Fish had overlooked Hermione.
And then there was Luna Lovegood, who looked a bit silly, but was actually very smart and funny, and was the only witch in the Great Hall who didn't have that dangerous look on her face when she looked at him.
Sharpay was also a good choice, and she wasn't as dangerous as the others when she looked at him.
Only there were obviously better options for the kitten than these dangerous girls....
"Fish is better off sleeping with Harry and the others nya."
(??ˇ?ˇ??)
After some serious thought, Fish slid down to lie down next to Harry and Ron.
No doubt the boys were safer than the dangerous girls.
Y...
Sirius Black was aiming for Harry, and it would be easier for Fish to be closer to protect him.
"Uh..."
The young witches sighed in disappointment, and though there were still murmurs of injustice, they all accepted Fish's choice.
Harry and the others had been Fish's roommates anyway, and it was better than letting Fish sleep next to Hermione, Luna, and Sharpay, the girls he had the best relationship with.
