(Cassandra's POV)

I didn't see when Mom marched into the sitting room, nor did I notice the gasp that left Matthew's lips before he was harshly wrenched from my arms.

The cloudy haze of hungry lust floats through my mind in time with the burning desire rushing through my body.

It takes me a few seconds, almost a full minute before I start to recover from the pleasure filled daze I had fallen into.

The first thing that registers is my mother's raised voice coming from a few feet in front of me.

"...dare you? Slimy bastard!" A crash follows a loud yell, causing me to snap back to full consciousness.

The scene in front of me causes me to let out a shocked gasp as my eyes bulge at how feral my mother looked.

I can almost see imaginary steam coming out of her ears, her chest rising and falling with furious pants.

"Did you forget what I told you last time?" Mom growls at the figure on the floor beside the shattered dining table.
