章節 27: Chapter twenty six

(Cassandra's POV)

After my mom's breakdown, I had forced her to eat at least half of her dinner before we went our separate ways to prepare for bed.

Even though I would love to sleep beside her tonight, she doesn't like me going into her room often for reasons I still don't get.

It's a bit past twelve midnight and I'm standing in front of my window, looking at the eerie moon and its comforting glow.

It starts slowly so I barely notice it but the pressure on my chest starts to hurt and my breath starts to shorten.

I think I'm having a heart attack.

I massage my chest in hopes of reducing the ache and I close the window before moving towards my bed.

The pain slowly starts to ebb and I take a deep breath.

So many strange things have been happening ever since I woke up after the accident.

Some explanation better pop up soon or I might need to see a doctor to check my mental stability.

I reach blindly for the pills on the bedside table and swallowed it dry.
