章節 33: Chapter 33: Plans to Be Safe

The whole night went by without Florence opening her eyes. If anything, she barely moved in that hospital bed. Scott was not able to close his eyes the entire time and close to the sunrise, he managed to take a brief nap.

His body was sore, and his head was hurting, but he was also very worried about Florence. He just wanted her to wake up and tell him she was feeling well. He wished nothing more than that now.

Around nine in the morning, the nurse came in and put some medication in Florence’s veins by orders of the doctor.

“Shouldn’t she have woken up by now?” Scott asked concerned.

The nurse looked at him and smiled.

“Don’t worry. She’ll probably wake up soon.”

Scott waited a few more minutes, and finally, Florence started to move and murmur before opening her eyes. It took her a moment to adjust to the light, taking in the room and realizing where she was.

“Florence,” he whispered, coming to her side and taking her hand in his, squeezing it lightly. “Are you feeling ok?”
