It was cathartic to hear his rumblings. It's like he was describing his own life in fine details. Whatever he accused Samuel of doing, he was doing it too. It's like he had lost his mind forgetting about his vow to not cross the white devil.
" Shut up!" Bernard roared and gave a heavy slap whoch woke Alan up from his stupid stupor.
" Father...you?" Alan was stunned. He looked at his father's pained expression but it didn't register in his mind why he would hit his own son. He was never beaten in his life, hell, his father never even raised his voice when scolding him.
Bernard was also helpless seeing his son behaviour. He never knew his son would be so stupid that he had to resort to violence just to save him. He had a massive headache looking at Alan clutching his face with a shocked expression of disbelief on his face. He should have handled it better, that's all he could think right now.
