But as strong as my desire for my most serious Absolut was, I had to put it off for a while. I didn't hear when my mother came home because I was asleep, but the first thing that happened when I got up and went to the kitchen was that I got hit in the head with a glass, which made my eyes cloudy and split, and the floor began to approach at a considerable speed, but despite all this an incredibly clear window appeared before my eyes that said.
[User took damage: -15 health]
"Who are you and what are you doing in my house?"
Through my clouded mind I heard an all too familiar voice, and the situation I was in told me that "Everything" my mother had completely lost her mind and she had completely forgotten me, even the fact that she was still standing at a distance from me told me that she would never remember me again. But this was not a good time to think about anything, and I had to answer right away, or if I didn't talk just a little bit more, I was afraid something else would pop into my head.
"Don't you remember Matsuda-san?" - came my sad voice from the floor, which was laced with pain. "My name is Yasuke, and I have been appointed as your caretaker because of your illness."
"Illness?" - came the incomprehensible voice of a woman who was huddled in a corner because of fear.
"Yes," I said, and carefully stood up. Despite the whole situation my voice was completely calm and indifferent "You are having memory lapses because of what you were assigned a nurse. And that is out of the question. You're sick and you need care."
Said I had already prepared a little speech for the occasion. As I stood up, I leaned against the nearest object to me, which turned out to be a wall. Despite everything, I was sad and hurt as hell and wanted to cry, it hurt to realize that your loved one was losing herself, but even though I was sad, I had the obvious question in my head, "What the hell?" Is she seriously suspecting something about a kid like me, who does that even have to be? Maybe it's because her memory is in shambles and she can't identify the danger coming from someone? Or maybe she's forgotten the very concept of "Child."
"E-Excuse me?" - the woman said and quickly rushed over to help me. "Let me help you."
As she approached me, she gently wrapped her arms around me and dragged me over to the chair, on which she placed me. My eyes, which had already cleared up and stopped seeing double vision, saw the woman leave and return almost immediately, but this time she was holding a white box with a red cross on the side, or as it is commonly called, a first-aid kit.
When she approached me and put the first aid kit on the table and started rummaging around in it, she took out a vial of some liquid, she opened it and poured the contents of the vial onto absorbent cotton to put it on the spot on my head where the pain was felt. I felt a slight tingling sensation in that spot.
"There's a little crumbling of skin here because of the shrapnel, as well as a couple of non-serious bruises." - She said, running her hand over my head one more time. "Sorry again Yasuke-kun."
"It's okay," I said in a relaxed tone, but my thoughts were far away because of the message that popped up.
[User first aid.]
[Health +3; health regeneration +2 per hour, until fully healed]
It was interesting and the status confirmed that my regeneration had increased to "5.5" and my health was showing "23" which with some simple mono math figured out that restored me 3 health points, but I would still be interested to see how regeneration works by appearance, so I would probably have to do some nasty experiments because I doubt, I could see anything on my head myself, especially behind my hair.
Helping me up, my mother... or should I say Matsuda-san, helped me to my room and helped me settle down on my bed. Then, after apologizing again, she left my room. Then I heard from the hallway the sound of sweeping and someone cleaning up splinters.
And just for the sake of interest, I wanted to see the relationship with my mother.
[Mai Matsuda] [Alive]
[Status: Stunned by memory loss and ashamed of what she did/ Painfully]
[Attitude: 5%]
[Description: You are practically a stranger to her. She feels somewhat threatened by you]
Yes... As much as I hate to admit it, but she has completely forgotten me and even her relationship with "200%" is down to "5%", this was certainly not reliable information, but I highly doubt that it is a lie or far from the truth. As I found out, up to "100%" is considered a close relationship, and after that it was "love," "best friends" or "brothers," i.e., a relationship that goes beyond friendship. And I can't even begin to imagine how much her attitude toward me has sunk to "5%."
I've never had such a low percentage of attitude, because I've certainly made acquaintances in kindergarten among children or teachers, I consider not particularly significant in order to follow them, but even there the minimum attitude rating was "27%", with my disdainful attitude towards the other children.
As I tried to wipe my face with my hands, I felt an uncomfortable sensation in my body. There was still a strange weakness in my body that made me feel out of place. So, I thought now would be a good time to turn back on, or rather turn off, all the settings that I had turned on, but of course not the scars.
After some simple manipulation and not the most familiar, I felt my body return to its normal state. I felt that I didn't need air, and that the hunger that had been weighing on me since yesterday was gone. My vision returned to its original clarity, and my body felt lighter than it should have been and as much as I hated to admit it, it felt good.
Despite the rather simple action, but in my position, it was quite difficult, I got up from the bed on my stiff legs, which had not faintly trembled before. I walked around the room to make sure of my condition, and as much as it bored me to say it, it was incredible. Especially the lightness that gave the System, it felt like I was standing above other beings, it wasn't pride or elevating myself into a god, it just felt different, but if you look at my race, you could really tell I was standing above ordinary people.
Going back to my head I gently touched the top of my head with my fingers and felt a faint swelling along with a small wound that should have felt much larger, but I think because of my regeneration and health gain my wound is a bit overgrown and if so, it's quite powerful regeneration that can restore me from any damage, although it was written like that almost everywhere, if my "Health" is not dropped to 0 then I can recover from any injury. I'm not sure how that would work with limb loss, though, but I hope I never have to experience it myself.
After lying on the bed for a few minutes, I realized that until my health is fully restored, I won't be able to do anything, so I decided to use a feature of the system that I haven't needed for the last 5 years after turning on the settings. "Sleep." An unfamiliar, but so familiar, box appeared before my eyes.
[Rest for 3 hours?]
[-Yes-/No]
My consciousness began to sink into a familiar darkness and almost instantly I woke up and my thoughts as well as my body were in perfect condition, as if I hadn't slept for three hours in the middle of the day. The first thing I did was to touch my head, which was in perfect condition and it felt like nothing had happened. Going into my status, I saw that my Health value was fully restored and my regeneration was back to normal.
And as strange as it may sound, lying on my bed right now, I thought it was the best time to get my Ultimate to get through the situation and cheer myself up a little.
Going into my inventory I concentrated on the familiar box, my heart was pounding incredibly hard with excitement, even though in theory it shouldn't be, but I was well aware that what I was about to get depended on my future fate and chance of survival, maybe I would get some Ultimate Surfer or Ultimate Reporter and in my current state I wouldn't be able to use it at all and it would not be useful to me at all. So, with fear in my heart, I clicked the "Open" button in the additional box that appeared.
Another large window appeared before my gaze, which blocked the entire view. This window was mostly dominated by yellow, and then in a few places I could see red and blue. It was rather unusual because the color scheme of the system was mostly blue. In the middle was a big "Wheel of Fortune" that was gray, and the lines separating the options were black, which made it look a little out of place compared to the rest of the background, and at the very top, exactly in the middle was a blue arrow pointing down.
Also, there were no words visible in the option pieces, which gave some idea of the unknown because I couldn't see the options and had no idea what I might end up with. There were several hundred of them and each option took up no more than a few millimeters. Also, underneath this wheel was a large blue sign that said "Begin."
My heart began to pound even harder because of the excitement. My eyes began to wonder all over the window in order to somehow prolong the time until I had to press that button. The only thing I had left to do was to believe that I would get a normal Absolut in addition to the one I already had...
I remembered my first talent, which was [Ultimate Lover of Fate and Fortune], I also had "∞" if that doesn't mean I can't get something bad, or I can get something bad, but it should be something that should lead me to the best result, but if I remember the description of my Ultimate had a note that if I put some effort and will, I can control probabilities to my advantage.
I wish I knew how to do that... I think the best thing to do now would be to rely on my intuition, which has never once failed me in my new life and for some reason has been at a pretty good level. So, it was worth relying on my intuition.
I took a couple of deep breaths, which I didn't need, but it helped me and my heart to calm down, as if "Gamer Mind" had worked, but no, not this time. It was my own and my own peace of mind.
I felt that I would be blessed with good fortune and that I was going to get a pretty powerful Ultimate. It was hard to explain as I had never felt that feeling before, it was not a certainty or a feeling that everything would be okay, it could not be described with the word hope or intuition, I did not assume or know that I would be lucky, I did not feel a strange certainty about it or that something in me had improved, it was the same as it always was.
But something had definitely changed, I would even say that something had changed that I couldn't see or feel and it wasn't even inside me, but around and everywhere, that the whole world was at my side covering my body with a strange aura that had no particular purpose, it just was. It was as if I had become part of something. It went from the tips of my toes to my prominent addition on my hair.
I knew this moment wouldn't last and that it was something not automatic, but summoned by my own will and stopped working in a passive weaker state the rest of the time. It was as if I was using everything, I had at maximum m maybe even breaking through some kind of barrier. I also knew that in the future I could go into this state again, but it would not be so easy and I would need some more difficulty.
Deciding not to delay any longer, I pressed the "Start" button with my stiff fingers. It's also worth noting that this was the first time I'd ever used my hand to do this, rather than pressing it with my desire. Then the "Wheel of Fortune" began to slowly unwind and eventually got to a speed that made it impossible for me to see anything at all.
And then after about a minute, but it wasn't particularly accurate because I wasn't keeping track of time, the wheel began to slowly stop, and finally the arrow that was at the very top pointed exactly to the center of one of the options.
My body felt that the aura that surrounded me began to disappear little by little, but I did not worry about it too much, knowing that it was not just once, and I also knew that I could not have hoped for better, and I was lucky with this unexpected awakening. But also, when this aura was gone my excitement started to come back, but not at such a crazy pace. It left as suddenly as it had appeared.
And then I blinked again, and a new window appeared in front of my eyes at the moment when the Wheel of Fortune window began to disappear. Then it blinked once more, and a new window appeared in front of my eyes at the moment when the "Wheel of Fortune" window began to disappear. Concentrating my gaze on the new window, I began to read it.
[New Talent Acquired!]
[Ultimate Physician]
[Description: You are an Ultimate Physician. This Ultimate includes everything a doctor could ever learn, including such areas as Neurologist, Psychologist, Therapist, Pharmacist, Surgeon, and so on. You can do incredible things that defy logic].
[Bonuses: All skills related to medicine grow 2 times faster. Skill bonuses are doubled. You understand everything you read. Knowledge related to medicine is learned at an incredible speed, and will never be forgotten].
[New skill gained!]
[Divine Accuracy]
[Description: you never miss, you can operate people with precision to the atoms. Your hand never wavers, even if you're in a building that's hit by an earthquake and a meteorite flies from the sky.]
[Bonus: your dexterity grows twice as fast when you practice accuracy.]
In contrast to the "Japanese language" not any knowledge poured into my head, probably because it was in the category "Talent" and I need to get knowledge and skills on their own, but I think that this is well compensated by the fact that in his past life I was also a doctor and some knowledge is present in my head, but it is not displayed in the system, perhaps for this you must repeat everything or for this body is not counted, I think I need to go for this in any kind of library.
And whatever it is, but "Ultimate Physician" is quite a powerful talent if you can use it properly and if it represents even half of what I can imagine, it will be powerful, and also do not exclude the fact that it was given by the system and there is a line that says it will be something for the ability of ordinary people or create a cure for cancer in a second, but it is only to hope.
Does this talent mean that I can become perfect in absolutely any direction that pertains to medicine, although it is said that this goes into absolutes, but I have never even gone in the direction of a neurologist, much less a pharmacist. So, I don't know practically anything about it, but it would also be pretty good to check how the information is assimilated.
But I also understood that I had to concentrate on one direction or at least several in order to achieve the maximum result, and also don't forget that I can also achieve Ultimate in other directions, but I think for the beginning it is necessary to achieve the maximum in some directions in my Ultimate.
For that I had to choose the exact direction. The first thing that came to my mind was Neurology because my mother has a disease that is similar to Alzheimer's, because as I remember this disease, in which brain cells are depleted and die. I also think it's worth taking up the skills of a neurosurgeon, a surgeon both conventional and vascular, a trauma surgeon, a therapist and a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a psychotherapist.
That of course sounds pretty hard or even impossible for the average person, but... that's the thing, I'm not an average person, I can't even be classified as human. I also have bonuses to all of this, both in memory and skills. I don't need sleep or food, I don't even need to breathe or blink especially. And for someone like me, achieving all this wouldn't be that hard and could even go into other majors...
....
As much as I would like to begin to learn all this and check my abilities and limits, but I think it is not necessary to dwell on all this so seriously, or else I really will become some machine and at that not only physically. So, I should go out with friends sometimes... which of course I don't have, or at least take a break from it all sometimes. Yes.
With these confident thoughts, I looked at my hand, which was now supposed to have "surgical precision" and, as it was written, capable of cutting to the precision of atoms. After examining my hand carefully, I realized that it was not much different from my normal hand. It wasn't shaking either, but unlike my previous state, looking at my hand now, it looked as if it were made of steel and couldn't be moved in any way.
I went to the table and took the pencil lying on it and twirled it in my hand a little, I don't know why I did that, but you could tell it was for a moment. After looking around the room on all sides, I didn't see anything to aim at. I was distracted from my thought process by a fly that flew before my eyes, to which I automatically reached out my hand to swat it away.
And to my shock, my hand did not scare the fly away, but tried to catch it by its wings, which almost succeeded, but at the very last moment it managed to dodge. Which was quite logical, I may be super accurate, but that doesn't mean I can catch a fly that should be faster than me, but with that thought occurred to me an interesting thought.
Just like in the anime. I raised my hand and, without much aim, shot the pencil at the fly, which had decided to land on the opposite wall from me. And, to my surprise, the fly was pierced by my pencil, which of course didn't stab into the wall because of my little strength, but it still looked cool and I had to try to hit it when it was in the air. An accurate identification came into my head that the result wouldn't have made much difference.
As I approached the dead fly, I gently picked it up in my arms, trying not to touch its insides, and tossed it out the window, watching its little corpse as the wind carried it away, knowing that a new chapter in my story was about to begin.
