'You wouldn't have left her if you truly did!' Maddie wanted to scream those words right in Joshua's nose. Unfortunately, Maddie can't. After all, the sound of the mini earphones in Castelia's ear will not reach Joshua's ears.
"I don't know what he wants from you but it doesn't even matter," Maddie said. Castelia didn't respond but Maddie's voice caught her well. Maddie added, "I'm going to call him right now, so take the opportunity to grab the camera and run."
Maddie grabbed her phone off the table while Castelia got ready to do what Maddie had just said. The room fell into silence for a moment before the sound of a phone ringing boomed.
Joshua's attention was successfully diverted. He took his phone out of his coat pocket and stood up after observing the number on the phone screen for a while. Joshua has his back to Castelia and at that moment, Castelia rose from her seat in silence. Unfortunately, Castelia had to stop before walking because Joshua turned off the call.
Joshua put his phone down on the table before realizing Castelia had stood up. The pink coat draped over Castelia's shoulders slipped and fell, revealing her beautiful neck and shoulders.
Castelia cursed inwardly, clenching her fists tightly in anger, thinking she should have been out of this room if Joshua had picked up the call.
"That bastard!" Maddie cursed in annoyance, realizing that Joshua had not only rejected her call but had turned off his phone. His demeanour seemed to make it clear that he didn't want to be disturbed. "Dang …!" Maddie bit her fingernails, wondering what to do now.
Knocking on the door to distract? Not. It looks like Joshua will pretend to be deaf and let the door make a sound.
"I don't like being disturbed when I'm with you." Joshua's voice was heard, he just stayed where he stood as he asked, "Come here, Cas."
"Cas, I'll pretend to call you. Please get out of the room, okay?" Maddie suddenly thought of something that it would be best to take Castelia out first and come back after Joshua left.
Castelia didn't respond. Not only that, she didn't even catch Maddie's words well because her heart and brain were busy arguing all this time. Castelia's brain refused to move but her stupid heart was so stupid, ruthlessly forcing Castelia to obey and making her come as close as Joshua wanted. Castelia felt so bad that she couldn't contain herself like a tame puppy to its owner.
Joshua reached out and Castelia wanted to accept it. Her hand was stopped by the ringing sound of the phone from inside the bag. Castelia took it but Joshua snatched it. The sudden movement was shocking, plus Joshua hung up Maddie's call and put the phone aside.
The man didn't say anything. He dropped Castelia's bag before touching her shoulder and cheek and kissing her lips without permission. Castelia didn't even have time to feel stupid for being lulled into it. Luckily the ringing of her phone came to bring her back to her senses.
Castelia pulled away from Joshua but he didn't let her. Joshua held Castelia's cheek tightly so she wouldn't move away. "I have to answer the call," said Castelia but Joshua wouldn't allow it, reluctant to stop after what he had started.
"Leave it alone," the man replied, kissing Castelia's lips and neck more.
"Stop it." Castelia tried to break free but Joshua's strength was greater than hers. Instead of escaping the touch, the girl fell onto the bed because Joshua was bringing her.
"Hey, Cas!" On the other end, Maddie screamed, trying to wake Castelia up before being lulled by Joshua's touch but she didn't know what she could do besides scream. Maddie didn't want to create suspicion with anything more than calling the two of them together but letting the story drag on wouldn't be a solution. Maddie would feel guilty for causing Castelia to do something she shouldn't have done.
"Cas!" Maddie called out, sadly, all to no avail. Not because Castelia was trying to ignore it but because her butterfly earrings had fallen into the blankets, and so had her mini earphones.
Castelia's last aid to stay awake was gone. The lack of Maddie's voice left Castelia's head blank, utterly unsure what to think. Gradually Castelia was lulled, it felt good because of Joshua's touch.
His hands were so warm. The touch on the neck and chest, the feeling is still the same even after so many years. The girl closed her eyes involuntarily, returning the kiss to the man, remembering what had happened years ago and all that was in her head were the good things about Joshua.
Joshua took off his tie and coat and tossed the clothes around before bringing his lips back to Castelia's skin. Everything they did was recorded on the camera that Castelia had hidden before but Castelia didn't even remember that little thing anymore because all she had in her mind was Joshua. It feels so good because of Joshua.
His gentle touch, all the sweat he made lulled Castelia to sleep and all that woke her up at dawn. Castelia gasped for some reason, her eyes opened wide and all the memories of last night came back to her mind within two seconds.
There was little hope that everything that happened between them was just a dream but even so, joy and even happiness came when Castelia saw Joshua beside her. The man was still asleep, naked and he wrapped his arms around Castelia.
Joshua was so handsome but what made Castelia so happy that she smiled unconsciously? Castelia closed her eyes again, pulled herself into Joshua's arms and fell back asleep.
One hour passed, two hours passed. At seven o'clock when Maddie was sure Joshua had left the room, unfortunately Maddie couldn't enter the room without the key. Maddie had to bang on the door and call out, "Castelia, are you still in there? Cas!"
"Castelia, wake up!" Three times Maddie called and no response made her think that Joshua had left Castelia asleep. Maddie wasn't wrong. "Castelia!"
A much stronger knock on the door startled, waking Castelia from her slumber. However, there was no longer Joshua who had slept in the same bed with her. Castelia stared at her naked body but Maddie's voice distracted her. Anxiety about a failed plan made Castelia wrap herself in a blanket and run toward the TV.
Castelia fumbled a bit, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she realized their tiny camera was still hiding behind the TV, meaning Joshua left without knowing anything. However, Joshua… the man's face appeared in Castelia's head, bringing a feeling to her heart and the question, 'Why did he leave without waking me up first? Why did he leave without saying anything?'
The togetherness was so short but raised a bit of doubt and slowly grew.
"Cas, tell me you made it!" Maddie asked, unsure whether Castelia was listening or not because she was impatient, utterly unaware that her question was making Castelia feel much worse than two seconds ago.
"Joshua …" Castelia mumbled, remembering what would happen if Melody got this tape. Bad things were about to happen to the man she once loved and still loved and Castelia wasn't sure she would be able to handle the guilt that welled up in her heart.
Joshua would be miserable and even hate her if he knew how Melody got her hands on the tape. It's hard to be calm, especially with Joshua's hateful and angry face in mind, with the blaming, 'I can't believe you trick me!'
"Castelia! Please wake up."
