Perseus POV
"1% maybe a bit much for me, a named who has the strength to stand on top as one of the top 13, a ranked, even one percent of your power can easily kill the likes of me." the dwarf replied "You maybe younger than I am, but I do not underestimate foes like you."
"You're smart, get into a clan, get some experiences and then come to the guild again, we might need someone like you, but for now, I do not have plans to recruit anyone unless they blow my socks off. Craig, you want to?"
"Hell no, I'm happy with my career." Craig answered
"Why look so grumpy? Is it cuz I slept with your sister when we dated?"
"You slept with him?!" he exclaimed at Emma who looked away with a slightly flushed face.
"Yeah, she sleeps on the right and me on the left. Why does your brain go there? I was underage, you know."
'Oh so you're just taking your words and mine, twisting them and putting them back into my mouth?"
"It's just words, I have had worse in my mouth." Emma grumbled "Well except that I enjoyed my time and you're not."
His face is priceless. Well what do you expect for a novel that isn't really for children, this novel has a romance tag, that means I won't die alone like you readers. Comedy for moments like this
"Oh man, it's so funny to think that if you killed me, my last words to you would be 'I slept with your sister' and it'll be true."
"I wish I can kill you, but I doubt that even a sword can pierce through that thick skin of yours." he replied
"Well guys, good luck on getting rafted, but you graduates should know the stats of success, you should work hard from now on so that the people like me on top can sleep all day long and hopefully someday find someone to spend the rest of his days with and raise a family, good night guys."

Cordelia POV
"That's a really simple dream, I thought that rankers want to climb the tower." Gregory commented "He even mentioned on how egotistical the rankers are, they are all dead set on climbing the tower, not raising a family, he can just leave now and do that, his wealth can sustain him."
"He is." Emma confirmed "Amongst the top, he is one of the most ambitious one. He rather die trying to climb the tower, but even he need a break sometimes, he has been climbing the tower for quite a while now, there are many cases of rankers taking a few years break for themselves."
She's helping to hide Perseus' main objective of coming to the academy, and it has a good reason as well, her reasonings are similar to what Perseus has come up with and I doubt he even told her for her to know that.
"How did you 2 even meet?" Acacia asked
"Oh, I finished my 2nd year hear and dropped out to pursue my goal of actual raiding for 2 years so that I can have some skills and help instruct and lead newbies and teach them how to survive the tower outside the academy." she explained "I then saw this guy sleeping under a shade of a large tree basking under the breeze on the 10th floor surrounded by bandits."
"And he was the one surrounded because of his usual sleeping habit."
"No, he was one of the bandits." Emma answered "The guy who was basking under the tree in the breeze was being mugged for his money and was threatened to be buried alive, you would be penalized for killing, but Perseus told me later that he planned to just bury them in a coffin and let them die of natural cause, dehydration and starvation as the loophole."
"And so you dated a bandit? Who tried to bury someone alive?"
"Um actually, the guy they were mugging was the leader of the 'Red Dagger clan', a person in charge of a clan who kills fellow raiders for fun, he disguised as one of them alongside with people under his division and killed them all from the inside."
"Oh, so that's rightfully justified, but can't he just turned the person in to the enforcer clan?" Acacia asked
"You think that corruption doesn't exist within the tower? Sometimes, if the person is already a person like a leader of assassins, killing them off is better." Emma replied "Well after we resolved the misunderstanding, we just went on our own way, and we met again when I wanted to participate in my first auction, I found him attractive and asked him on a date and that's how it basically goes."

Perseus POV
The day has come to when I have to fight Brennan, I got my SS class gear on and went to the arena that is now jam packed with spectators. It's faint, but I can sense Alice here too, no doubt to learn any more moves I got hidden up my sleeve.
Brennan even had the audacity to fucking get his clanmates to already advise his victory and what he plans to do after he come a ranker again, too arrogant for his own good, the current bets are 7:3 to his favor who has been quite a bit showy as he boast of him having more experience than me and the others no doubt believe it since no one would accept an upstart.
I got into the arena and saw him somewhat entertaining in the crowd and when he saw me, he got out his blade and point it at me.
"If you beg me nicely like the dog you are, I can grant you a merciful death." he declared
"Me begging? Yeah, sorry, I'm not into that type of play dude. Besides, you should just offer me your neck right now cuz I'm a bit too lazy to spend all my effort on you when I can just spend my days eating junk food instead."
