As the shifting began, I held my breath, my heart pounding in my chest. Cyril's body contorted and twisted, bones breaking and reshaping as she shifted into her wolf form. A small whimper escaped her lips as a look of pain crossed her features. My heart broke a little as I watched my daughter release another whimper.

Come on baby, you can do this, you've got this! I thought to myself as I stared at Cyril who continued to shift, letting out a small noise growl of pain and I almost stood up from my seat to go help her if Ivan didn't hold me back.

"Don't, she has to do this on her own if she is to be welcomed into the pack." Ivan says.
