Freya and I sat in the plush interior of the carriage, the rhythmic clip-clop of the horses' hooves echoed through the cool evening air. The soft glow of the lanterns lining the path cast a warm light on my wife's face, illuminating her features in a soft, ethereal glow. She looked at me with a mixture of excitement and apprehension, her hand reaching out to grasp mine in a reassuring gesture.
The carriage rolled smoothly along the winding road, the tress whispering softly in the gentle breeze. The night was alive with the sounds of nature, the chirping of crickets and the rustling of leaves creating a symphony of tranquility around us. I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease creeping over me as we drew closer to our destination, the fortress of Azar, the evil bastard I wanted to kill.
