He didn't know that his mum would be coming over when she felt like. He would like to have a heads-up at least. Even if she said she would be coming over at least call first. And who would visit someone during breakfast? No one did. It was unusual. There was only one reason for her being here. It was due to what they saw yesterday. This was a gang up. Just like that dinner.
"Like your pancakes Matt?" Elliot was the one to break the tense silence.
He sighed, a nonverbal way of saying could he eat in peace. "Nice" he replied coldly.
"Glad you like it" he still sounded all chirpy.
"Hmph" he breathed through his nose as he continued to eat his breakfast.
"So…" it was his mum's turn. She dropped her coffee mug and turned to him. "You kiss boys now?" she asked again just like she had asked yesterday. They were just irking him lately. They weren't even trying hard.
"I do that and more" he replied snappily.
Things seem to be looking up.
