What is a nightmare? If you ask a educated person you will get the answer-
"Frightening dreams, usually during sleep, are 'normal' and 'common' in children under 10 and can also affect teens and adults."
'heh~'*chuckles
But what I am experiencing right now is far from 'normal' and 'common'.
It's been a whole month, at first I thought this was a dream like any other person would think . NO. Like any other 'sane' person would think. But later I understood what l am experiencing is real to 'blood' and 'flesh'.
l remember what happened but it was a bit vague. Maybe something hit me or maybe I got a heart attack. Looks like I died.
"shit"
haaaa...why? I didn't want everything to end up like this.
l wanted to enrol in a good college. I wanted to have a big career of my own. l still wanted to explore the world.
And here I am, in the body of a seemingly 6 years old.
The first few days were traumatising. Only odd thoughts came into my mind, I tried hard to refrain myself from wailing in front of the people in the house. But eventually I came to accept my situation.
The identity of the body I took over, is of a village boy who lost his parents a few weeks ago. He has dusty brown hair and dark brown eyes. The body has an average height for it's age I guess.
Hitomi -san, the owner of the house l am residing is a farmer and has a small field. l started to help her in the field work after accepting my situation. l must say, field work is tough. There are no modern equipments, which makes things even harder.
The food and water of this world dreads me. I mean I was pretty sheltered all my life. I don't think I ever drank anything except mineral water. Well maybe sometimes pool water, during swimming classes but in general I always had the water filtered.
The same for food. Being an Indian, spices were a common thing in my diet. And so my taste sense was highly flavoured.
But the food I have in this world is just too simple for its own good. Forget about the quality, they just taste bland and have no flavour at all. No salt, no sugar, no spices, nothing.
The water is not purified at all. I mean there is no literal pollution, so it is drinkable but what if it has germs in it? This was the reason why so many people died in the past in my original world. I guess I have to boil the water before drinking.
Moreover there is no mode of entertainment. No smartphone, no television, no movies, nothing. So being bored is a given.
Hitomi -san is a very kind person, she is very hardworking. She lost her husband two year ago, so she has to take care of her daughter alone. Her daughter Kaya is a playful child. I don't know why but she is very fond of me. She loves to stick around with me, saying all sorts of things.
Well she reminds me of my sister, so I let her be.
From what l have understood, I am in a Japanese world setting. Yes. I don't know the
time- line but from their names and by how they address each other.....'-san', '-kun',
'-chan', yeah it's definitely japanese.
But incidentally they don't have 'eastern' facial features. Well not only eastern, their features are not like anything from my original world. That sometimes feels unnatural.
If I may say, they look like anime characters in real life.
Hmmm .....now that i think about it, may be I am in some anime/manga world?
l can't be sure. Hitomi san has never been out of the village so when i tried to get the information out, l found nothing. And l don't really talk to the other villagers.
She said merchants sometimes visit the village so I guess I should meet them to find more about the outside world.
"Koutaro -nii! Mom's calling, Dinner's ready."
I heard kaya's voice coming from the kitchen.Well i guess i will think about it later.
"coming~"
I answered and started walking towards the kitchen.
Please let me know how was it. And what should I do to improve. Enjoy:)
