Lucia was confused but cooperated. She took a spoonful and chewed the meat. It was softer and flavorful than any meat she had tasted before. Although, she was not fond of it and preferred to eat more vegetables.
"It's delicious," Lucia complimented, thinking Misis Belo cooked and wanted to know her opinion.
"Good, good," Misis Belo was pleased and ate her portion as well.
"I just want to ask if we have another company?" Lucia asked and looked at the empty chair.
"Ah, it's for my son. We always put a plate in case he goes home, but most of the time, he's not here. He's so focused on the business and making it big," Misis Belo explained with a wide smile.
"I see. You have a hardworking son," Lucia stated to pleased Misis Belo, who chuckled proudly.
"I know," Misis Belo replied. She gestured toward the other plates full of food. "Have your fill. Don't be shy," she added.
"I love the smell of freshly baked bread and the smell of cupcake batter."
