"Well, there's an offensive affinity for you," Hotaru muttered.
"Tell me about it," Fumeko remarked.
"Hm, if she can do that again and all of us are down here, you should go ahead with the plan," Hotaru stated. "The three of us'll handle the cultists."
Fumeko glanced up, "Alright then." She turned to the invisible wolf-girl, "Make sure, Tiffany's safe," she hushed.
"Of course I will," there was a pleasant smile in her voice.
"Ting—Cling-Fwing-Ding—Clang!" Swivelling her sword in an infinity pattern, the Thundering Blade moved herself forward into each strike—each step he took back in response to Jotou's assault.
Both of the man's arms were metallic—a dull grey. From shoulder to fingertips, like two tower shields, he had put them up to block the flurry of the armite blade. Across the metal armour-like hide, were several barbs of the same hue.
I really didn't expect to write over 4000 words for this chapter. I was going to split it into a part 1 & 2, but seeing my lack of chapters as of late, why not a treat with a feast? It's genuinely not filler and it would be the same one chapter or two, so, why not finish this scene in one? Enjoy!
