"It's easy to say in words, Damien. Do you know what is going on? Édouard is in danger and he is again fighting the battle alone. I feel my marriage with me brought more problems to him," Charlotte said while controlling the tears from falling.
"Then, fight the battle with him," Damien said.
"How? I don't know," Charlotte said. She was lost and had no clarity before her. She didn't want to sadden the mother who always supported him.
"I heard Édouard has planned to go to Gavaria alone," Damien said.
"Yes. He thinks Matilda will listen to him if he talks to her. Last time, they didn't have a good conversation," Charlotte said and chuckled, "I do not know why I am sharing all this with you."
"You can trust me," Damien stated. "No?" He arched his eyebrow.
"I can," she replied. "I do not want a war to happen. The easiest way to this is the political marriage," she said with a painful voice.
