“I’m sorry, what was that?” I asked in a monotone voice.
He has got to be joking right? I mean, it wasn’t a joke to me, but I could see him feign innocence over what he just proposed by claiming it was all just a joke.
Please for the love of all that is sacred, don’t repeat what you just said, I kept trying to tell him with my resting grumpy face. I needed to get him checked in and be done with all this.
“I was wondering if company was provided during my stay?” he asked as he eyed me up and down.
I was grateful for the fact I had dressed plainly. At least he couldn’t blame it on my clothes if I needed to punch him, even if he was a guest, I wasn’t dealing with this after the day I had.
I’m sure he thought he sounded smooth, but my skin prickled against the implication in his tone. This guy was a real creep, and I wasn’t going to stand here and let him talk to me like that.
