"G-" Xia Wei was on the verge of responding to Dai Qing, her eyes brimming with anticipation, when she abruptly halted. Her grip on the sword tightened, her forehead veins pulsated visibly, and a chilling aura emanated from her deep aqua eyes. It was clear she had redirected her intense gaze toward someone else.
"Young master, allow this old man to handle this obedient disciple!" Xue Yang interjected unexpectedly, his words plunging the scene into a momentary silence. Dai Qing glared at him, while Xia Wei's other guardians couldn't help but sneer.
'Foolish. Do you really think you're pleasing enough in the young master's eyes?' The three guardians, including Old Ping, shared a simultaneous thought, shaking their heads and casting mocking gazes at Xue Yang.
Sorry for the unexpected hiatus. I needed to take a break to rest my mind after a hectic month of updates, averaging 2000 words daily.
Regarding my plan for this month, I don't plan on updating every day like last month, but I also don't intend to take an extended break like before.
I will still be posting updates, but not on a regular schedule, as I am currently editing my prequel. Currently, 60+ chapters have already been edited.
