Bill carefully escorted his wife back to the ward.
He thought of something on the way and quickly called her mother-in-law.
The other end of the line was still shrouded in a cloud of worry. The phone was picked up immediately after the call was connected.
"How did it go? Was the surgery over? How is she?"
She was so anxious that she was incoherent.
Bill's mischievous temper was back.
"You're asking about your daughter…or my daughter?"
"Of course it's my daughter…" Du Meilan's voice stopped halfway.
Two seconds later, she suddenly reacted. "What do you mean? My daughter gave birth?"
Bill wanted to use a loudspeaker to let the whole world hear it. "Mother and daughter are safe. I'm so happy!"
On the private jet, Du Meilan was overjoyed.
After hanging up, she placed the phone to her chest and heaved a sigh of relief.
