2 months later, the beginning of I-land Season 27 had started! The unit battles had began! Cal slid down multiple dunes of sand leaving dust trails behind him, he got to a certain point and but his hand out behind him stopping. He was in a crouched position and got up drawing his Katana. He held it with a firm grip. This was this was what he'd been waiting for, if he couldn't do this then what point was there. His Deep blue eyes glimmered with determination and a grin creeped across his face. Though it was a tense moment, he couldn't help being excited he'd always loved to fight and this was no different especially against opponents as strong as this. His ashy grey hair stood out against the beige sand dunes. He was here because of those around him. He couldn't let them down, not now. He'd decided to keep to as few words as possible this time. He HAD to focus on this. He put his katana out infront of him and awaited his teammates Keep it cool throughout the fight and you'll be ok... Seamus walks onto the sandy field. Sliding down the sandy dunes and getting over to cal and the crystal, a dark cloak shrouding most of his body. While his jet black hair almost had a shine to it. Seamus moves his cloak to the side, exposing the scythe handle peering just over his shoulder, he then grabs the back of the scythe, lifting it out of the casing and clenching it in his hands Interesting, sand will be a difficult terrain to deal with. We will get through, I will bring respect when I go back to the house of Levanter. He looks at both Cal and Halle "As we practised, take the terrain into account when you use your abilities. Use it to your advantage " His grimoire floats to the side of him, flickering ominously back and forth, he smirks then casts a spell. Witch hunters claws A mole would rise from the ground, large in size. As the sand dripped from its body like water, it moves then splits three times. Leading too there being 8 moles in total. 1 -2-4-8. These moles surround the crystal proportionately. Then digging through the sand and sinking the crystal downwards, then moving up and covering it with the sand that was moved. This process would be slow. " phase one complete, halle move on to phase two. " his smirk goes bland, he had began to concentrate. His focus changes to completing the goal at hand. "What did I tell you Seamus, stop acting like you're the boss." I grunted sternly at my teammate, putting him back in his place. He always held his head up high, a bit too high sometimes. It was infuriating dealing with this tendency, but it was necessary for our victory, so I had to make do. The wind howled as I made my appearance, brushing the dunes and scattering some of the loose sand behind me. I wasn't the type for flashy entrances, and I wasn't planning on changing that right now. It's better for me to conserve my effort for the field. Just from my gut feeling, I knew I was gonna have to put up a long fight just to get through. "How much longer is this gonna take Seamus?" I questioned, trying to estimate how long I would have to hold out until the plan was ready. There was no room for error here, a second of delay could mean the difference between moving on or failing, and I wasn't gonna go through the latter. After putting in all the effort to get into this game, there was no way on hell I was gonna risk losing it all just as it begun. There was just too much I had to do to fail now, I had to win no matter the cost. "Bury the crystal while you're at it. Cal, you know what to do." His team was strong, and he had already begun to form a plan to defeat his opponents. As mentioned there was a vast amount of sand and hills, but burying your crystals? With my team around was a tactical error. This was a vast plane, though what appeared to be a mistake on Unit 6's part. Ebenezer could see them and their bright crystal being submerged, being positioned on a hill with the rest of his team. And his opponents, not stating where on the desert they were would be at a disadvantage. Ebenezer raised his right hand as he spoke to his comrades. His magic flourished around him as a spell was cast. Within his free left hand snapped open his grimoire. Now was not the time to make fun of one's teammates and try and usurp control. "SAMUEL, DEFEND THE CRYSTAL!" I yelled as I thrust my hand forward, mana engulfing my hand and taking the shape of around a dozen sharp crescents that would be launched forward towards the opponents. | But wait, there are hills and it's a far distance.. crescent_moon | Crescent Cut "KIRO WE ADVANCE ON THE ENEMY!" |- The signal was given. Considering Kiro's magic with the wind he would know what Ebenezer would mean. Gen being a proficient magic knight would also know as well. |-900/100 Mana. Sammy's action. potted_plant | Sammys grimoire fluttered open. As a spell that held both a supreme offense and defense would be conjured upon the poor souls Nigh immediately he manifested the Life of Healing Plant. A spell that manifested a large carnivorous plant by the crystal. The plant also seemed to dig underground burrowing it's head into the ground and thus beginning its descent into the sand. Kiro would found himself in a desert, it was desolate, no water, extremely hot, and the sun was brighter than ever, but he only had one goal in mind, beating his enemies to a pulp. Kiro's grimoire would flip pages, he walked right beside Ebenezer, when something caught his attention, so his eyes darted towards the team, and saw them bury the crystal he simply smiled. Kiro's grimoire would instantly glow as the winds started to roar at Kiro's command, the winds started to swirl around as the winds created a large gust, the gust had two currents that Kiro has direct control of, one of the currents would go upwards, and the other would go forward, Kiro would also control the winds to allow his teammates optimal travel. Godly Winds! 200 Mana! The gust charged forward as the crescent slashes went into the swirling winds, Benny and Kiro also was inside the gust, the gust was large, and powerful, the crescent slashes were carried diagonally upwards, Benny was brough to the very edge, and Kiro was sent to the top of the gust. The gust got larger and larger, going over 89 Miles Per Hour, The Crescent Slashes were now shot at towards their opponents at high speeds, the hills weren't in the way due to the gust's height and the gust of wind was large enough to cover atleast most of the distance. Kiro kept an eye on his opponent, he was ready to fight at any moment they did something, he had a flare in his eyes, it was determination. "Okay, let's not debate amongst ourselves. There's a bigger issue at hand." In an instant, I shifted my focus over to the main threat. In the distance I spotted the opposing team seeming to get ready to start their assault. They seemed to plot down some sort of plant. Just making an inference, this probably acted as a sort of automatic-type thing which attacked anything within a certain radius if the user is not directly commanding it. With a bit more observation, it was easy to tell that two of the opponent's were not the most skillful, but the main guy posed a large threat. I was originally planning on setting up just Cal for defense, but that wouldn't work as of now. "Seamus, Cal, there's been a change in the plan. Both of you stay here and watch the crystal, I think I can handle the offense by myself for now..." "Seamus, whistle to me when the gate is ready." I commanded my team before whispering to Seamus, bracing my body for an oncoming attack. Though it was true that the wind was moving too fast for me to comprehend it completely, I didn't need to know what kind of spell it was to react. The loud boom was enough to trigger my reflexes, my hands darting up in front of me. Suddenly, a large cloud of debree flew into the sky as it made impact, was Halle hit?! A barrier was formed in front of me before the attack landed, the sand bouncing off of it immediately. My hands, glowing with mana, remained firm and still. With a simple click of my fingers, both the wind and the crescent blades were sent flying back at the opponent, picking up even more debree on its way back; effectively clouding her team again. [ Any more than that could've easily overwhelmed me. I'm lucky my barrier was able to spread that far, but I'm not sure I could do it again... ] I thought to myself as I pondered on what to do next. Any second wasted and they could send another attack flying at me, repeating this cycle would push me far beyond my limits. Using the wall of wind and sand as cover, I darted forth towards the enemy line. It wad practically impossible to pinpoint my location with all the clutter in the way, flinging sand in their eyes if they didn't deflect or close them in time. [ I'll break the chain from the weakest link first... ] Before he knew it, I appeared upside down behind Sammy, on the verge of unleashing a spell at point-blank range. During my advancement, I used basic applications of my magic to cloak my body in a repulsive aura, allowing me to fly to a certain degree and increase my speed even further. He glares at Halle intensely and sighs, she has always spoken out about things thoroughly and randomly when Seamus is trying to initiate the plans properly. Although Halle was incredibly smart so he held some respect for her. " Didn't I talk to you about this? Listen to what I'm saying because it's important, can't have you messing the plan up. " — I can only go as fast as those moles, doesn't she understand that? — Enough of this, I need to get out the rest of this. " The dunes may be difficult, depending on their magic they can also use it against us. My moles won't be able to dig well die to the stand so it will take further time. " He turns to Cal, and his dull face came to a halt. Cal was much more respectable than Halle, thus he listened to him more and had a wider personality when with him. " Are you able to defend the crystal while me and Halle scout out the left and right areas? " He once again mentally prepares himself for one of Halle's rebels, he hoped she would get it done soon so they could move on. He stares up into the sky, he tends to do this a lot to clear his mind, the various colors relaxed him. He looks back down witnessing his enemies beginning to cast a spell "Foolish. Halle, would you be kind and deal with that? " He chuckles as he already sees Halle starting without hesitation" Interesting, she certainly doesn't hesitate in the heat of battle. That's an amazing quality He listens as Halle talks and shakes his head. "Stick by the plan, you should know you wont be able to handle all 3 of them alone." Ughhh what is she thinking now. I bet she wants to try beat everyone then take all the glory, that's not how this is going to work. His facial expressions shift and he gets further serious. He grips his blade tightly and closes the distance quickly between him and Halle. Walking behind her almost looking like a bodyguard " The Gate Will begin to prepared soon. We should hold them off till' then. " He stares at Kiro intensely, Resting his scythe to the floor and dragging it across the sand, this was being used to link himself directly with the earth below the sand, using his scythe as a conduit to seep the earth upwards towards the surface so he is able to use his powers more efficiently Witch hunters claws In the meanwhile of this commotion, the moles would have been already digging deeper into the earth, now almost getting to the earth below the sand. Once they got to this earth digging would be much more efficient, as well as one of the moles suddenly splits of although, going in some sort of direction? the moles where digging at a diagonal line, offsetting from their original location making them harder to track, aswel as the sand behind them that actively fell covering their tracks. Cal looked at Seamus and nodded as his grimoire floated behind him and began flicking through pages, While he did this his eyes began darting around analysing their opponents, taking into account what weapons they use and how they were holding them. The grimoire then stopped 𝕄𝕒𝕟𝕒 𝔹𝕖𝕖 Cal summoned A large bee beside him its wings fluttering as his smile faded into a pure serious expression as he began focusing on pure defence "Seamus, Halle. Be careful they're strong." Cal pointed his sword forward aiming at one specifically as if he was a missile locked onto its target. his eyes wide like a hawk that's found its prey. The glint in his eyes was now gone as he focused on either killing or rendering his target as completely useless. He couldn't let them touch the crystal, even if his life depended on it. "Call for help if you need it." Halle had partially failed. Bold assumptions against Ebenezer and Kiro was an awful idea. Firstly, this was a combination spell alongside Kiro being able to reassert control, her spell was not being directly assaulted. Same with all the crescents. ➣ Remember it's a wide battlefield. The crescents were sent towards them, the wind was allowing for optimal travel, this also includes the crescents Kiro could easily direct them towards them, all of whom had ignored the crescents due to Halle "repelling" them. ➣ The crescents were already incredibly quick but were enhanced. This enhancement was both ways meaning that one could not simply repel the wind. Especially due to the speed of the projectiles, Halle would only repel the crescents approaching her. ➣ And not her teammates. ➣ Sunlight is a factor when casting Moonlight magic? Hilarious, moonlight, and sunlight are practically the same things in all respects. Ebenezer (I) smirked as he arrived at his opponents. He&Kiro would make sure that his crescents would disable his opponents, there was no effort to block the crescents by the opponents meaning that you were HIT. Wait, he arrived? Yeah for you see, while you were too focused on "analyzing" Ebenezer he was on the move seeing the opponents? Seeing the crystal? The sandstorm had already made this difficult. At the edge of the sandstorm, 4 meters to the far left of the trio, Ebenezer had arrived. His hand outstretched as he advanced forward, mana cloaking his hand as he walked towards the trio. The moles would have to circle back towards him, and he would know by the time they arrived. Which would mean that no matter what, the time for talk was over. The wind was continuing to berate them, potentially even blowing them over. Upon arrival, Ebenezer would decide that he would defeat the arrogant duo. His hand was outstretched. crescent_moon | 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐂: ᛒᛖᚹᛁᛏᚳᚻᛁᛝ ᛘᚩᚩᚾᛚᛁᚷᚻᛏ For the mages, who Ebenezer had turned to face upon arriving, standing in front of him? They would be surrounded by what appeared to be purple light. within a 4-meter diameter and 1-meter radius, moving within this would be incredibly difficult. Why? Upon the spell being instantaneously cast, moving for these two would be incredibly difficult, they seemed to begin to reject moving. Unless they had a spirit like Yuno or Anti Magic then they would find there will begin to wain as a powerful force seemed to command them to not move. Fleshy growths beginning to form on their face, the coloration of which was black. It appeared that the only way to defeat Ebenezer would be to get in close and prevent his projectiles from hitting him. Otherwise they would fail. Ebenezer meanwhile remained within the same location for now. Mana coursing throughout his body, if they tried any quick moves once the spell was cast they would find Ebenezer quickly respond. As Ebenezer stared at them, his thoughts seemed to seep into them. What were these thoughts you may be asking? What a bunch of side-shows. Their crystal is what's important right? Why did they let this happen to them?] Kiro would sigh, he wasn't amused, he was disappointed, they honestly think Benny and His own spells was honestly so pathetic to be repelled like that? The idea that they were this arrogant of their power upset him, Kiro's godly winds had guided Kiro's godly winds had guided the crescents and directed the disks towards the locations mention in Benny's post, and the rest directed towards their general bodies and directions(So their immediate left and right). If Halle thought repelling the crescents back towards them was a smart play, they were in a fuck ton of trouble. "You are nowhere near HIS level, so how about you just bow down?" Kiro stated as he controlled the winds, the winds started to suddenly to push down on all those in front of him excluding Benny, and the winds continued to push down on them unto the ground, he was done playing games with them, he said wanted to end this so that he can get back to training in order to win against his rival. Godly Winds Continued! 200 Mana! Kiro was still within the sandstorm, he pulled out his longsword just in case one of them had any magic that could make them teleport, his blade was shiny, but the sand of course created spots of dirt on his blade, he wasn't upset, the blade has to get dirty in battle after all. Kiro would shake his head, "What made you think you could easily repel our spells? Just the idea that you could've counter our attack with such a weak attack honestly offends me…" Kiro stated, of course his opponent's probably couldn't hear him, but he still wanted to talk to let out his frustrations. Kiro noticed Benny casted his spell, "Oh!" Kiro wasn't shocked, more so interested, 'He's very tactical, he can probably beat me even without that spell if we were to battle to the death.' Kiro thought to himself, and the idea made him happy, he did want to fight people as the same strength as him or even better so he can push his limits and become even stronger than now. evergreen_tree | 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗜𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪! 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗜𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪! 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗜𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪! The grimoire flipped, Sammys teammates had gone on the offensive. And naturally, he would as well. An opponent was bound to come for the crystal. What they didn't know was that they were going to have more problems than usual. Smiling as the sandstorm was summoned he manifested a spell that could be incredibly costly. But if all went well, very rewarding. +150 magic! The ground seemed to shake as something had begun to crawl and get larger underground, the sand poured into the hole that the Life Healing Plant had created. Plants had begun to grow around Sammy crawling around his body as the vast sun struck them. But what spell was this? Well it was Photosynthesis. Which would subtract 500 mana from his mana pool. However, over 50 orbs of light revolved around him now. The power of these orbs was unknown. If any targets tried attacking him with this set up they could very much find themselves obliterated. Plants and roots had begun to crawl around on the surface spanning around 5 meters and above around the region of the crystal. warning - The orbs should they be sent into the wind held power to destroy even the strongest of the mages on the field. Cal stood, blood gushing from his shoulders throat and Torso, He had one last plan, The crescents most likely being thin had just barely missed his vocal chords, he could still speak, just enough to cast one last spell before he died, he had approximately 90 seconds. He couldn't move his arms at all, his shoulder joint's were destroyed. His Kidney had also been near enough destroyed and this was his last hope, His grimoire floated into the air on its own and began fluttering through pages as the husk of the bee disintegrate. It then stopped on one. The black growth on his face also felt like it was eating him. 𝕄 𝔸 ℕ 𝔸 ℙ 𝔸 ℕ 𝕋 ℍ 𝔼 ℝ Cal Casted Mana panther Beneath Halle, using the rest of his mana to enhance its speed and having it rush her as far towards the crystal as possible, in doing this Halle was completely safe as the panther can absorb one attack for the user or person its protecting. This was Cal's last hope, and if this didn't work it would be all up to Seamus and Halle. He prayed in head that this would work but wasn't fully sure. Blood then spewed from his mouth as he fell to his knees and in that moment.... His injuries proved to much for him as he died from the blood loss and the Panther disintegrated with Halle as close to the crystal as he could get. ( Probably in running distance ) This needed to work Cal couldn't have died for nothing and in his eyes he would be a failure if he did so. He'd let down his friends.... His closest rivals.... His fans.... and this was his last effort to make sure this didn't happen he HAD to make this work. This effort in his last moments on the field was the best he could do, and at least he went down trying to help those he cared for. Within his final moments he smiled. He smiled while he died, because if nobody was proud of him. He'd be proud of himself at least. This was Cal's last stand... Seamus...Halle... It's all up to you now... After just speaking with Halle, the attack breaks through the repulse, this had Seamus on the complete surprise, he hadn't expected Halle's repulse to fail. Although thinking it over it was a combo attack, and it was foolish of him to think she could protect them all. Before the furious gusts of winds took him to the sky he speaks " Forget about us, ensure the plan goes well. " If I manage to survive this attack then I can go help her, although she knows the plan and will most likely survive, my concern is on cal… he has no type of defensive magic that could help him here, meaning he may die from this attack, I have to try and help- The wind hits him into the air, almost like he was floating but had no control over it. Although this wind wasn't basic, he had already run into one problem that was the wind wasn't basic, and had three factors. The first being the high wind pressure; The wind was coming at him at extreme speeds. Due to this, it made it extremely difficult to breathe, limiting his source of oxygen. This was paired with the second factor, which was sand. This sand was hitting him at the same speed as the wind, forcing him to close his eyes, furthermore it was scratching at his skin and tearing at his clothes. If he opened his mouth it would just be filled with sand and he would choke. The final and most dangerous of the three. The moon crescents threatened his life alone. 4 being in total, they were large in size and easily capable of removing any of his limbs, as well as he had lost 2 of the main senses. Being sight and sound because of the speed and force of the wind all he could possibly hear is the crashing sound of the wind and the sand scraping across his body, rendering it useless. Seamus only had a singular option in the duration of this use of his sixth sense. Mana sensing this is his only guide through the vicious sand storm that was currently occurring to him, if he could only block each one that comes at his way using his mana sensing as a guide then he can survive the attack almost unscathed This is a shit situation, being in the air puts me completely off balance than I normally would be, and also puts me at a disadvantage since I can't use my earth magic, the only option I have here is to block each of the crescents, then try going for a counter-attack –THE BEGINNING OF THE END.- Arm enhancement The flow of his mana finds a new path. One that is direct, shifting the path upwards, forwards then back. This was attributed to boosting the amount of strength he had in his arms to perform greater and powerful attacks than before. In combination with mana sensing, he uses it to sense out the very first crescent that was heading in his direction. The first one he will face and defeat. As the first crescent comes at him at horrific speeds he lifts his scythe up, using his new force to attempt to slash it downward for him to avoid. Although he didn't take into account the actual force that comes with this speed, he gets sent once again hurdling in the wind but dodges the attack. Although once again he uses his mana sensing figuring out 3 separate ones are directly on their way, he begins calculating the directions of these crescents One down, three to go, wait..how am i meant to gain proper ground when there are three coming at me… shit!! I'm screwed- they seem to be coming for, leg.. Head… and arm, i'm going to have to prioritise my heads safety The hurdles in the air, since he was at this. He cant dodge or even block any of the attacks since he doesn't have steady footing he gets pierced two times. The first one soars at him slicing through the flesh of his leg like simple butter. But this isn't it, as the sand attacked him at incredible speeds the wound basically covered it leading to constant pain, ths was repeated with his arm without chance to react. Blood was literally in the air, its crimson color matching his eyes. The final one that was hurtling towards him, he managed to retain a form of sorts. Using his scythe to pull the crescent that slowed down the momentum and lodging it in his neck Stats Inflictions of attack: his leg and arm got severed, covered in sand and the top half of his throat got pierced. He had scratched over his body and his clothes were teared After this carries out he launches to the floor. Landing on his face, rolling across the ground and landing on his back. The dust from the air surrounded the area and made it hard to see him I'm alive? Wait- I can't breathe… This is the only chance I have or I will die. Wait, why dont i die? I can come back and get healed up. He lays there silently, the pain was more than excruciating, every single movement he makes gets followed up to it griting across the sand, he was on a timer. 90s was all he had before he suffocated to death. He pulls the crescent and lets the bleeding begin, although through the duration of the next moonlight attack, he was dead still. as he's pulled up he can only be witnessed as bleeding out, he was in a useless state where he could not return from. If only that was the case. Before the moonlight gazed above them he had casted a final spell; Death reversal Due to the nature of this spell, it activates upon his death, the bleeding that was caused grants him among 3-5 minutes left to live before he dies. In that time he indures any pain or hardships that he may be forced into, and after death he will show no vitals. The enemy will eventually only come to the conclusion that he slowly and painfully died. All Efforts from Seamus and Cal were prevented. Why? None of them ever escaped my ᛒᛖᚹᛁᛏᚳᚻᛁᛝ ᛘᚩᚩᚾᛚᛁᚷᚻᛏ. A powerful spell that could suppress mana Alongside take over and fully control targets. They were under his control and thus, their wills perished alongside their mana. Cal was already incredibly close to death and Seamus had revived himself, but it would not help them in the long run. As of now, I was present on the battlefield. And as I saw as the young woman, Halle paused to watch the onslaught that occurred. A smile cracked on my face as I looked at her, before seemingly turning around. Though Seamus and Cal directed themselves to face her every movement, though awkwardly due to their injuries. crescent_moon | ] I grabbed Cal by the face as my magic cloaked my body. My magic continued to build up as I focused on the trail left by the moles. Which were now demanifested due to the magics being suppressed. I continued to drag Cal towards the trail the mole left as I began my plan to end this battle. If she wanted to fight me I would know. And Kiro would also know. As mentioned my timing was nigh immediately after the crescents landed. I watched Halle if she tried making any moves I didn't like? Well, then I would deal with her immediately. But just for good measure, upon her beginning to move she would find herself surrounded by light as well. The light directly passing over her eyes. She was in her own personal tiny bubble of some kind. Though asides from grabbing Cal, who was directed to come towards me I did not seem to move much. The feelings of veins pulsating on her face also began to show themselves as I waited to see if she would figure out how to free herself. If she did not know? Then she would not be worth my time, Kiro could deal with her. If she did? Then things would be much more interesting. As I held the slowly dying Cal in my hand I would wait to see her response. I was letting my teammates tie up loose ends. Sammy post coming soon. scroll | Notes. -> Halle moved away from me, I was in range to cast my ᛒᛖᚹᛁᛏᚳᚻᛁᛝ ᛘᚩᚩᚾᛚᛁᚷᚻᛏ on her. Since she was facing away from me and running away she would be unaware as to who cast it. Since she was so focused on my teammates injuries. This would also halt her movements. Though temporarily. -> This would occur as she decided to attack Sammy. A whole 40 meters away from her. -> She would have to go all the way around to reach Sammy from her position, and due to Kiro inflicting his winds on her, and her specifically she would be crushed unto the ground. Her barrier would not overpower the wind that she tried going through via the sandstorm. She was still in range during her post, though she was not necessarily entirely caught. The biggest flaw? Time, Halle could not truly travel that fast due to the wind pressing against her. And also because THE PLANT CONSUMED ALL MAGIC ATTEMPTING TO AFFLICT IT FROM THE ROOTS. tiny "mouth" like plants shooting up from the ground as the plant had continued to grow. The plant was feeding off of magic within the area and thus, was able to get STRONGER from Halle attempting to afflict it. As mentioned with the winds, the plants forming were not a problem due to them being manifested by magic. As Halle got in range, she would find the ground around her within a 4-meter radius ERUPT upwards. The maw of a giant mouth being present as the mouth of the plant that Sammy had manifested earlier emerged from below her. It was growing the more she tried crushing it. Its mouth was wide enough to consume over 5 cubic meters of substances and was fast. Almost as fast as the fact that Sammy had prepared his attacks as Halle witnessed her teammates being decimated. This was by her own admission, and due to the speed of photosynthesis, the plants within the area and their orbs of light were all present. Once again due to the large range of the roots, the moment Halle found herself within 10 meters of Sammy? EVERYTHING FLASHED WHITE What appeared to be 12 dozen vast lights appeared directly in her FOV. As explained in Benny's post, Halle was on her own, But let's say Halle still ran towards Sammy using the dust cloud as a cover up, she was starting to suffocate, he continued to cast his Godly Winds. The wind that was being pushed to the ground made it so Halle could only breath by laying down onto the ground. Godly Winds! 200 Mana! But even still, let's say her repulse prevented that, Kiro would use his mana sense and he created 8 wind arrows using Godly Winds that completely surrounded her and the dust cloud and shot it from all 8 directions, left, right, front, backwards, southeast, northwest, southwest, and northeast, of course she could stop these as these weren't super powerful and fast, but it would stop her advancement and potentially cost her a spell, and would give enough time for Kiro to dart in front of Sammy using his sandstorm as he pulled out his longsword, "Sorry but you aren't touching him nor this crystal…" Kiro noticed her advancement and determination to avenge her friends as he walked towards him, "You are an admirable warrior though…" Kiro stated with a smile of joy in his face, his opinion on his opponents had changed. And within his joy and pride Kiro felt the ground shake, and the ground under him would soon start to crumble and the column of light shined through, but before that the wind around him started to follow his command as he dashed, the winds pushing him forwards, giving him no air resistance, this would potentially help him avoid this attack and plan of hers even if somehow Seamus' revival spell kicked in. Kiro would simply stare down at his opponent, "I'll defend Sammy and our Crystal and I'll provide back up against her, you can beat her right Ebenzer?" Kiro stated as he continued using Godly Winds, the surrounding wind around Sammy and the Crystal would start to push away everything outside of Sammy and the Crystal, like a barrier. Kiro would provide back up by sending some air slashes towards her. Kiro knew that this was his last time he could cast Godly Winds so he had to make it count, as the 4 slashes were sent towards her direction, they cut up into half, now 8 small slashes was headed towards her direction, they would home into her right leg and neck, but this was just a distraction as Kiro would pull his sword back into a thrust position as wind magic and natural wind started to condense into the sword, the amount of wind felt… immense. Kiro would thrust the sword with all his might and a beam of wind was shot towards her neck, if this were to hit it would either blow her away allowing Ebenzer to make a combo attack or it would pierce through her brain killer her, but it didn't go in a straight direction because he knew that she could've just used something like repulse, it kept on zig zagging around until it made contact with her head or she deflected it. Godly Winds + Creation Magic; Wind's Piercing Line! 50 Mana! Kiro would pant as his stance became weaker, using all of that was draining his stamina, but he was still determined to continue fighting, he would straighten himself up as his eyes would roar with determination, 'I'm not losing until she falls, I'll give it all I got until I collapse!' Kiro thought to himself, his determination to win went through the roof! The Sandstorm was slowing down as his mana was lowered, the desert looked like a battlefield, two corpses on the floor, and maybe an additional one if Halle couldn't counter, this horrific scene of limbs sliced, blood spilled everywhere, dead bodies, sandstorms, man eating plants, intense winds was caused by a trio of monsters. Whether or not they won, this monster trio was sadly soon going to get disbanded, they were going to be potential enemies, rivals, but in Kiro's case, if he fought Ebenzer, he would forfeit, Kiro will do everything in his power to make Benny win this, Kiro saw his leadership, his planning, his power and intellect. This was Ebenzer's Era! Through the chaos and bloodshed, I just ran. I did not even think to run, my body moved on its own without a single hesitation. There was no pause whatsoever, as I had already begun moving the minute I was able to. It was highly possible to still comprehend and think about something while your body moves, especially if it moves on its own. I failed I failed myself I failed them [ How was I supposed to prove myself as strong if I can't even protect two people... ] 𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗥 With the extremely strong winds and the evident suffocation, I would inevitably be crushed and knocked unconscious, marking the fall of the chrysanthemum would wither away. Despite my extraordinary strength, there was absolutely zero way I could even make it past the attack. From a young age, the forces against me were constant. Mistreatment, unfair judgment, oppression, suppression, abuse. There was no escaping it. Even with this path, it seems it only ended in another dead end. I was simply chained to a fate of constant cruelty and misfortune. No matter what I did or how much effort I put in, I was just gonna get stomped back into the ground, right? 𝗡𝗢 There was no stopping, there was no quitting. I wouldn't allow myself to be stomped back into the dirt again. I will come out on top no matter if it almost killed me. After tasting the bitter flavor of defeat for so long, I would risk it all just for a drop of sweet victory. The wind pressure? It didn't stop me in the slightest. It was stated that even with the enhancements, it moved at about eighty to eighty-nine miles per hour. People with only average strength have been seen walking through these sorts of speeds, though of course with a fair amount of resistance. Now imagine how someone with physicals beyond that would be affected. The only threat to them wad being pushed over, but they could fight against it. Not to mention that during the course of the game, I had kept a bubble up around me the entire time. The bubble acted as a repulsive barrier that pushed away almost everything around me. The front half acted against the gust, weakening them greatly. The backside on the other hand pushed the air behind me to propel me further and hold me up straight. Oh and the suffocation? It was a waste of mana. You see, the bubble around me kept a pocket of air in due to a gap between my physical body and the dome. New air was picked up from the soles of my feet and circulated around with no issue. My despair shifted into pure and unadulterated anger. The pain of loss, the fear of failure, and the despair or my life all mixed into my unprecedented rage. Despite this, my head was crystal clear, my emotions having no effect on my train of thought. But there was another hurdle thrown in my way. First, I had eight wind arrows completly surrounding me, along with a set of twelve more slashes. Secondly, there were three crescents right alongside the wind, threatening to hit me at the same time the gust did. Lastly, Ebenezer's Bewitching Moonlight was set off right below me, putting me in danger of having my body controlled. A colum of light surrounded me in an instant, was it the end? 𝟬.𝟮 0.2 seconds is all I needed to trigger a certain spell instantaneously. The instant the light shrouded me, more beams of light erupted from the ground. What exactly was this? Death Circle. Halle's seals had created an interconnected network of gateways. Remember how Seamus casted a spell at the beginning to create group of moles? I had made it into a combination spell, meaning my seal was put onto each of the moles, making them transportable. And with the case of Seamus' mana being suppressed, at the moment he was on the verge of being controlled but not completely, allowing his spell to still be maintained. Even if his moles disappeared, the seals would just be moved onto the ground instead, as they were already positioned exactly where they needed to be. The Bewitching Moonlight didn't even take effect until after I was completely gone from the area, the beam of light was from my circle instead of his spell, and it had never even touched me. Even without the moles, I had placed a seal below Seamus and Cal, as well as the place where I originally stood before the swap. The positions of almost everyone on the field were shuffled. With Seamus taking the place of Halle as the light dissipated, the projectiles were only an inch or so away, but wasn't my teammate getting hurt what I didn't want? Yes and no. You see, Seamus was already dead with Ebenezer using Bewitching Moonlight to manipulate his body, meaning I could hurt the body as much as I wanted to because he was already gone. It was exactly what I wanted. As you see, Bewitching Moonlight had one major downside. One third of any damage delt to Seamus would be inflicted on Ebenezer. And if he hurt his own puppet, Ebenezer received the injuries in full. This all meant that he would die when Seamus died, and their attacks only really hurt themselves. But he could just deactivate the spell, right? Wrong. He pwas completely frozen, unable to even think about what was happening. Why? His brain was being overloaded. Remember how Death Circle could link minds through mana? Well, his mana was directly linked to the network through Seamus. The minute Seamus was afflicted by Death Circle, Ebenezer received every little thought and feeling of everyone hit by the spell. Even though he received all these inputs, his brain couldn't even process it let alone store it. Every memory in their heads played simultaneously, he could feel taste hear see and smell exactly what they did, he knew everything they were thinking of. Yet with all this information, he couldn't do anything. As the crescents hit Seamus, Ebenezer's body was trisected from three points; his knees, his waist, and his neck. With the rest of the damages, Ebenezer was perfectly and harmoniously synchronized with it. And with Kiro standing next to him, all he could do was watch. Standing above it all, I stood in the middle of the field. I was essentially hovering in the air, watching as Ebenezer was brought to his knees in a mere two seconds. There was nothing he could even do to stop it, he couldn't even formulate a plan due to his current mental state. The dry wind howled as his body was chopped into bits, blood staining the sand crimson red. Despite all the threats against me, I still stood firm with my head high. The second after Ebenezer was defeated, I acted once again. "I don't care... I don't care if I have to pour everything into this..." I spoke, my voice echoing across the desert. My tone was void of any joy, gratitude, or even relief. There was only two word that could describe the pure feeling of terror emitted by me. Absolute Dominance. There was no surviving what was about to happen next. "Mana Zone..." — [ I lied. I was not anywhere near that level yet. This wasn't even what I said to be honest. ] My hands moved to overlap each other, holding them out in front of me. My hands were shrouded in red mana, there was no going back now. The air grew colder and colder, the calm before the storm. The sheer mana emitting from her hands alone struck fear into Kiro and Sammy's very core. "Throughout Heaven and Earth, I am the Honored One..." "Absolute Control." The instant I spoke the invocation, my deep red aura pulsed out of my body, spreading out to cover almost the entirety of the field as anyone within it felt the burdening weight of despair. This spell is more commonly known as Force Field, though I had renamed it on my on desire. [ blackhole ] — 𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗧𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙 The minute the spell was triggered, time itself felt like it stopped. Nothing was capable of moving in this domain, not even in the slightest. The pure strength of the spell held dominance over the entire area. First, Sammy and Kiro found their grimoires stripped from them along with Ebenezer's, all gathered around my body. Not that their spells had any strength here anyway. It was purely silent, not a sound could be heard when they were wisped away. Even if Kiro tried to use a spell like Godly Winds, he would come to the immediate conclusion that it was pointless. Any force not created by Halle was nullified. Next, Sammy's plant was eradicated in seconds. Crushed underground, it had no way to defend itself due to the sheer force, even if it tried absorbing mana. This was before Sammy was able to sprout it out of the ground, but in the case that he was somehow able to given the extremely small time frame, the outcome would be one million times worse. Only a second latter, everyone in the area found themselves surrounded by hordes of radical slashes, along with their bodies being torn apart in the sections where the attacks were bound to hit. This continued until they were only piles of flesh and blood, not even recognizable as human beings. The crystal was also curshed, completely confirming the victory of Unit Six. This was the unbound rage of Halle. Once I made sure there was absolutely nothing left of the opposition, I floated back down to the ground, my feet grazing the sand as it shuffled around slightly with a light scratching noise. Beside Seamus' cold dead body, I stood looking at the palm of my hand, only a small amount of mana flaring up. The downside of Absolute Dominance, despite all its power, is the heavy whiplash and mana consumption. It was only really a trump card at most, allowing me to seal a victory. "I used up too much there... I need to control my anger." "I did it though Seamus, Cal. Are you two happy now?" I spoke to the body, kneeling down closer to him. In this moment, I couldn't really do anything. All I did was cry. Bitter sweet tears flew out of my eyes, plopping down on his chest as the fell from my face. Though for the first time, my barrier was down completely. In the eyes of most, this was a bad thing, she was defenseless. But in my eyes, this was too good. I had finally been able to open up, finally able to experience true joy thanks to not only my unit, but Unit Seven as well. "You guys are the sun, and I am the moon..." "Thank you." [ emoji9 ] — 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗬𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗢𝗡𝗘 Do it, I will take the pain. In the moment of his thoughts, both of them equally knew the way of winning this. It wasn't going to be nice on his end. The split second that the crescent would slice through halles head. They would swap positions, instead of halling being in the blast fire it was. Him… the pure timing of this teleport gives Ebenezer no possible way of stopping this. This is going to hurt. I must endure this for my victory, if I hope to live up to my name and ensure that at least Halle makes it through this. I failed cal and will take this punishment in blood alone. His body was entirely achy and exhausted, he felt dizzy and confused. He had been bleeding out for about 2 minutes now, but his mind was distracted by the endless pain that he was enduring, the gushing wind met his face and sent him backwards once more for the next crescents As the crescents move closer to him, time almost freels at a stand still, the angelic glow of them glistened through his eyes and peered at his soul. Before slicing through the upper part of his head at a vertical surface, slicing through his head as if it was butter. Killing him in almost seconds That hur- Ebenezer at that moment was bound to seamus, and damage caused to him reflected right back to him as well. As seamus died so did Ebenezer. Seamus was dead. His body spread across the floor. still bleeding. His eyes were pale, similar to his skin. His grimoire layed next to him but didn't turn to dust? The page of his grimoire was already opened up to death reversal. The mana debt was already paid and it was all ready. The final of the conditions, death itself. His body starts its changes. in moments the star that was lodged in his throat completely Obliterates his neck wound healing over, the sand that stuck to the wounds also met this fate. While this happens the many scratches over his skin gain a skin layer that shielded them, the two sides of his head merge back together. Furthermore the slices on his leg and arm gain a level of skin covering. The black veins that surrounded his eyes receded, Ebenzer wasn't alive so the magic he inflicted faded from his body. Seamus's bleeding stopped completely. Then at least, the beat of his heart once more. Wake up Wake up WAKE UP! Seamus's eyes open once more, getting berried? He sits up and stares at halle " You do remember i can reverse my death... right? I told you this omg. " SHE FINISHED THIS AND TRIED TO BERRY ME ALIVE OMG! He puts his arm on his head " What a buz kill, you didnt even give me a chance to fight anyone. And you covered their bodies so i cant even carve my mark. What a waste of time " As the two were celebrating, due to the heat a mirage was caused. The mirage showed Cal. He was smiling at them! The two of them had seen this grin before. When they were training with each other, he'd always grin like this whenever he had won or had nearly won. They did it.... It's over! after a while the mirage began to fade away, and as it did so Cal gave a last thumbs up. Kiro was surging with energy, let it end like this? Fuck that, it's not going to end in a tie like that, it's going to end in a loss, a draw, or win that is well deserved! First of all, her mana skin would not prevent her from suffocating sadly, it could be effected inside barriers and bubbles as well. Secondly her death circle wouldn't have hit Kiro, nor should it have worked at all, the bewitching moon occurred before that. But even then, The Light Magic Orbs that was headed towards Halle's direction was shot first before her column of light thus it should hit before death circle is activated, secondly, the attacks were already at point blank range, the time for teleportation wouldn't matter, it should've hit already, but just in case it somehow didn't. Kiro's wind piercing line would deflect all of the air slashes and arrows before they hit, he knew the effects of bewitching moon, so Benny survived, how did she know about the effects of the spell though? Even if she had teleported away, Kiro used thunderous smite and appeared behind her with his sword and thrusted his sword into her brain, causing her to be brain dead or he knocked unconscious, even if she had mana sense, she would've been shocked at-least for a singular moment, that's all it took. But let's say she somehow dodged in time, he inserted lightning into his arms and went for a swing to the neck, making a return swing if it did not hit. If he was knocked back by via force he would throw his sword into her chest, directly into the heart. But let's say that didn't hit, he grabbed sand and threw it at her eyes, causing pain as he would rush towards her, make a dash to the right and went for a right swing directly into the rib cage, intending to crush it, and potentially make her bones penetrate her heart. But let's say she avoided that, she would attempt a sweep kick, knocking her down onto the ground as he wrapped his arms around her neck and started to put- Force into it, causing her to choke if she somehow wasn't effected by the godly winds, Kiro would also put his foot into her back and put force on it so she would not get back up, he would not allow her to, he needed to win, for everyone, for his family, friends, for himself, for his fucking pride. He will not allow his pride to be stomped on like that, he would not allow something like that to happen, he was going to die fighting no matter what. His pride gave him power he needed to push on, he was going to win. But let's say that didn't work, he would use his other leg to leap towards Halle and insert lightning into her brain, knocking her out, but this would cause him to be knocked out due to mana deficiency, this was his final attack, and my final post here, you don't try to cheap me out like that, dark I'm sorry but my pride goes against it! The mind is often the start, middle, and end of a war. It is the strategic brilliance of strategists that end battles and decimate the opposition. And only one thought was ringing in the mind of Antione Vermillion as he was transported onto the battlefield side-by-side with Axel and Raijin. It was a though that was treasured dearly by every human being that had ever had an inkling of a taste of true competition. It is the thought that keeps a person going throughout the day. It's what pushes them to eat. It's what forces them to breath. It's what makes us walk, talk, fight or take flight. It's the reason anyone was even taking this test in the first place. What better battleground is there to feel this emotion that one watched by the entire country? You want to know what Antione is so focused on at this point in time? Well that's easy. It's what he came here to achieve. What they all fought to get. Antione had a special reason for being so determined in this battle. that reason being of course, Pride for his family. His opponents were not just any other Contestants that he would need to face, oh no. For you see, Kingston and Shimura were different, and not in the good way. These two were not just from any old family. but one that had feuds with his own, The Vermilions, for quite some time now. Kingston and Shimura were of the Silva family. aka; a bunch of dickheads. The only thing that could've made this any better was if Edmund had been present. But alas, his twin brother was off fighting in the Laurel championships. Antione had sent him off with a warm departure. But of course, that meant he had to pick up the slack and show the world that he wasn't just "Edmunds twin." And what better way to do that than the opportunity presented before him? Antione intended to win the crystal battle as he did before. But this time? he was the centre star. He wouldn't be overshadowed by Rai and Axel this time. The moment they appeared on the battlefield, Antione's mind went racing to ensure that their plan would not be interfered with. the buildings were an issue, yes. but that was worked around fairly quickly. Using several factions such as Geometrical apprisal, Linear ruling, general assumption and an understanding of the i-land, Antione would be able to get a safe estimation on where the crystal was for the opposition. meaning the below posts are able to go through. ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟏𝟎-𝟏𝟗 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧」 an important thing to know going forward is that this sequence of events, are happening 'shortly before Unit 5 Begins their setup'. Meaning that Unit 2 would have the advantage in regard's to speed however, the attack does have a charge time... keeping that in mind... Antione, Rai and Axel. Partners since last season and Unit members longer than anybody else. The three had spent plenty of time together. Learnt together, fought and won together. They were an automatous unit. And so, without delay, Unit 2 began their preparations. there would be not a moment wasted. not a second lost. the keys to victory had already been collected. and the doors were opened before Unit 5 would have time to react. here's a rundown of how this would happen: ╭────────・Antione's Action・───────➤ Antione's Grimoire flashed brightly and he held his hands out in front of him. the ground rumbled slightly and out from it erupted a large steel construct. it had a protruding beam with a notch in the middle and hollow tubes meant for some sort of fuel... and it was directed directly at the Unit 5 Location. specifically, their crystal. this was done by taking into considerating many facts that he had calculated in his mind since arriving. His grimoire glowed again as he wasted no time preparing an actual spell in the event of the other team attempting to sabotage their plans. 𒀖 Steel Offensive Magic: Steamlords Split Spear! link This spell is only in the 'Prepared' Action. meaning it will not be casted at this moment, but if Unit 5 somehow reaches a point in which they can interfere with the charging up of the spell link Once the railgun is created, Antione has free movement as he isn't required to keep hold of the contraption. Meaning his full focus is on the movements of the enemy team (if they are within a range that we can see each other. All the pieces were in place. Rai would look at his friends with a small smile. Both of them had devoted themselves to this completely. it only felt right to follow through and finish what they helped to start. With a determined look on his face, he slammed his hand on the Railgun and the whole thing resonated with extreme magical force before the arrow shot out of the railgun at speeds not even recognisable to the human eye. Heck, Not even Mana sense could help see the sheer speeds that the attack mas moving at. it cut through the air and straight through the crystal in the blink of an eye. By the time Unit 5 would even have time to respond the drill would be long gone. Along with their crystal. Not even the shards remained. a loud boom echoed through the arena as the arrow travelled to a point where the magical energy was too much to withhold and it exploded into a mushroom cloud of smoke and electricity. All three let out a sigh before taking a deep breath and... "LET'S. FUCKING. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" "The Silva's and the Orphan would approach the battlefield they felt the weight of this battle on their shoulders. they stepped foot onto the battlefield they didn't know what was coming with their heart pounding, there hands clenching, there eyes dilating. THIS IS EXHILARATING. They stepped onto the green luscious grass, there were birds chirping, squirrels climbing, natures paradise. Obi would scrag some moss of his shoulders as they would approach a broken down city now filled with plants and wildlife and much more. He would seem proud of his group, he's trained countless months with them, this isn't a group, this is family. They were ready to kick some ass, Obi looked at Shimura with a smirk on his face and would nod. He looked at both of the Silva's they were determined especially Kingston he would want to live up to the rank and prestige to truthfully join this royal family" ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟏𝟎-𝟏𝟗 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧」 ╭────────・Obi's Action・───────➤ Obi would carefully take out his grimoire and would precisely tear 10 pages. In a matter of moments 3 of the pages formed themselves into Kingston, Shimura and Obi, you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference with an observing eye so it would be near impossible in the heat of battle. Meanwhile 1 of those paper sheets would crack and crease its corners until it became crystal the clone disguised as Obi lifted it and held it with pride, he's learn a lot from Kingston. As these shenanigans were happening 6 of the pages would become white man with spears and shields in their hands resembling roman hoplite soldiers preparing a defensive stance. . . ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟏𝟗-𝟐𝟎 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: Evasion」 ╭────────・Obi's Action・───────➤ Obi would quickly climb onto the cloud though he was making sure not to fall off holding onto everything he can grip The sky was clear for the most part just the tall buildings were in the way of the clear sky he would bring the crystal with him as a loud sound was heard the sound would become non existent and not much after it an explosion was heard from behind the group. The railgun did not hit. ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟐𝟎-𝟐𝟓 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: Offense」 ╭────────・Obi's Action・───────➤ Obi would get on this cloud as he would as the cloud lifts off Obi embraces the experience of flight for the first time with a smile on his face. This fight is gonna be one to remember. As he feet slowly clank down on the tough cement of the ruined city. Their silver hair glistening in the sunlight refracting onto the broken windows of the buildings. He would lead his eyes towards obi seeing him finally put down the clones. The plan is in action. He would hop on top of Shimura's ever increasing cloud and keep a look out for where the potential enemies could be. Imagine this was at the top ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟎-𝟏𝟎 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥」> Shimura arrived at the battle field with the rest of his team, deadest on one goal. To defeat the other team. It wasn't just about him, but the pride of the Silva family. If he somehow managed to fail here....the consequences wouldn't be pretty. He had a black hoodie on, with black trousers as the hood was down, revealing his silver hair tied into a bun, with tufts of hair sticking out. He grinned right back at Obi, as his grimoire flew out "Lets kick some ass guys." As he said this, his grimoire flew out, his eyes riddled with steely resolve as he had a look of determination on his face. As he said this, some type of mist flew out from his grimoire, expanding before being in front of the group "Lets get on with this guys." He said, waiting for the others to step onto the actual cloud During these seconds, He would direct the cloud once everyone was on it, would start to fly up into the air. It used a building nearby as cover to fly up, sticking to the side of it. He assumed the other team wasn't behind them, and was in front. Once they reached the top, the cloud floated, acting like a normal cloud. There shouldn't be any ability to tell the difference to it, as the cloud was encompassing the whole group hiding whatever mana they might give off. During this time the cloud started to slither around the buildings and weign inside the cracks. The cloud covered majority of the battle field. cloud This spells carries people around on cloud and spreads around the battlefield ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟏𝟗-𝟐𝟑 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧」 Everything was in place, the railgun was nearly ready to fire and Unit 2's victory was on the horizon... Bus so was something else, as Rai finished charging, Antione noticed something peeking over the buildings. A big something. Antione extended a hand to Rai with a stern look. Rai stopped the attack second before he was going to launch it only to also notice the huge ass cloud. What is was there for? who knows. But the fact remained that it became a threat. A threat they had to evaluate and decide how to counter before proceeding. Antione took a step back and crouched down next to the Railgun, all the while keeping an eye out for any sneak attacks on the ground. This was not an ideal position to be in... or was it? in reality Antione knew that it was Shimura specifically who created that cloud. and a spell of this magnitude was gonna be costly on her. Meaning that they wouldn't need to worry about anything Major like that. but just in case, Antione took his spear off his back and threw it into the ground like a javelin around 10 feet away from them. if they tried a lightning based attack, it would be diverted into his spear as a lightning rod. He would also keep his grimoire open and ready in case of an emergnacy cast. 𒀖 A.D.A link Antione had set up a medium to redirect any lightning based attacks from Shimura from above. meaning it was impossible for a thunder based attack to hit them link Antione was on alert and watching the cloud carefully. meaning a sneak attack from above would be next to impossible. any tell-tale sign of a lightning bolt, Antione would prepare another spell in case the spear failed to divert. Axel's Action・───────➤ Axel would be notified about the cloud by Antione as well and directed his attention to it. this means that him creating the shuriken is voided. But that wasn't much of a big deal. While Antione was scouting the air, Axel had his focus gazed to the ground. Keeping watch of both sides of the building there were on. He would also ready a spell to use in case things got hairy 𒀖 Static Sphere zap Axel was on alert around the trio. meaning a sneak attack from the puppets would be next to impossible zap Axel had 'static sphere' in a readied action. he would cast the spell the moment he felt like it would be needed. Raijin's Action・───────➤ Rai stopped sending off the attack moments before it's execution, looking towards Antione with confusion, he noted the cloud, and instead redirected the Railgun's trajectory towards the large foggy mass. Rai closed his eyes, feeling the mana move within his body, almost as fluidly as the blood coursing through his veins. He was the battery of this attack, crucial to it's success. In his mind Rai was disappointed both for the attack, and for His teammates. This was supposed to be a quick in and out but instead, they were on the defensive. He kept has palm placed on top of the gargantuan machine created by his teammates, channeling mana through his arm and into the machine, assuring it stayed at the ready for use at any given moment. Strat stands of hair began to lift from Rai's head as static within the air formed due to him transferring his mana into electricity. He opened his eyes, and underneath his caramel brown eye lids were two bright sparkling yellow pupils, charged and ready for an upcoming battle. "Come, we are ready." cloud_lightning Rai still had the Railgun and was moving the trajectory along with the cloud. When it comes into distance over Unit Two, Rai will have an action ready to lock onto any target that presents itself Shimura's Action・───────➤ Shimura thinking it a good idea, would start to slowly descend the cloud. As it went down, the area would slowly start to become clouded by well his cloud. Although he still made sure that he and his team were inside the cloud. Essentially, they had moved from the top to the middle of it, the density changing if they moved, matching their steps. He commanded his cloud to start raining, watching as it made the people below and everything in the nearby vicinity damp/wet from being spread out. After all, it wasnt at ground level, just near it. As he did this, Shimura flipped to a different page, and started charging up a spell of his own, lying in wait. Due to the fact the density was only where the group had walked, and the cloud was big and spread over a vast area, any projectiles sent would simply fly through, as the group wouldn't be able to pinpoint his teams location. If by some chance they aimed at his team, they simple moved to another part to easily dodge it. Thats on the off chance the other team somehow knows exactly where they are. Obi's Action・───────➤ From the cloud unit 2 saw 3 human figures, One with a deep abyssal eye with spiky hair. Another wearing an exceeding luxurious luscious white hooded cloak. they slowly approaching them. The hooded figure taller than the two at his sides. The taller was visibly holding a shiny crystal as they all yelled at them: "Deus nobis viam faciet" They suddenly stopped 6 jagged white skinned clones surrounded unit 2. 3 of them tried to pierce their thoraxes, using their ingrained paper blades which can cut through flesh with ease and efficiency specifically aiming for the appendix area thus blowing it up. Meanwhile the other 3 punched their spears into unit 2's shoulders . To dodge this sneak attack would be near impossible since the cloud covered the battle field making it impossible to see. During the warfare down below, up in the cloud obi grabbed a half eaten sandwich took 2 bites and put it back in its place his other hand is firmly on the crystal. Kingston's Action・───────➤ Think. Think. THINK. Time. When you are birthed the clock begins to tick. People don't take advantage of this time, they sit around leisurely while could've been training their mana. They weign and complain about how they wished they were stronger, while doing nothing about it. So while there on their deathbeds bawling about how much time they've wasted. They should've know that the ever so powerful ethereal clock called Time stops for no-one. But this team doesn't waste time. They're efficient. They're powerful. They're fast . Its just a shame they had to go against us. "Obi give me the crystal" *He whispers* Something was off, something was different. Maybe is the way he spoke or maybe it was the glint in his eyes. There is no grin or sadistic smile to be found on his face, all the tell tell signs of Kingston absent. The feeling of the water vapour was calming, peaceful, tranquil. Maybe the peaceful nature of cloud changed him. As Kingston removes the crystal out of obis hand, his grip tightens to adjust for the weight. He begins to slowly walk away from the group. While he exhales the condensation of the air mixes with the water vapour of the cloud forming some sort of Symphony of gasses. The time of reckoning is now. The calf skin leather casing that entraps the pages of his grimoire flies by his side, flutters through various pages until it stops. The Water molecules that are surrounding him begin to corollate and latch onto his skin. Flexing, forming, slithering throughout the creases of his body. The water started to look like something, maybe a armour, but Kingston calls it a second skin. The crackled claws, the gleaming eyes, the grace full wings. Is he still human? . He places the crystal on his back, as the armour begins to shift and flex to accommodate for it. Now making his hands free, the water molecules begin to construct into long, broad and wide tower shield capable of blocking many blows. Now at the other side of the cloud away from unit 2 but nearest a building. A continuous tempo of wing flapping could be heard if you were near him. The tempo increased hastily as he barrels into the furthest part he can behind the building. Not being able to be spotted by unit 2 or his allies because of the cloud and because he's behind the building. He hides near the middle of the side of the building while hovering in the air. On guard from any attacks coming from all directions. Out of all of them, Axel was surprisingly the first to clock onto the cloud descending upon them. noticing it via the buildings slowly disappearing under the cloud line, he quickly tapped Antione's shoulder to notify him and opened his grimoire. He knew from their planning that he would have to resort to Plan R. He definitely didn't want to however. Axel should be staying and fighting with his squad members. But they had been over this so many times before. And deriving from the plan would bring un-coordination to the unit and ultimately result in their defeat, Axel glanced in Antione's eyes and mouthed the word 'Sorry' before running towards the crystal with his Grimoire open, he quickly flicked to the page he needed, and thunder began to form around him. 𒀖 Thunder Fiend! Axel's feet and arms glowed with blue electricity and he picked up the crystal before turning to the building. He crouched as a launching pose and blitzed towards it, hitting the wall with an angle and sprinting up to the top in only a few seconds. Axel skidded to a halt on top of the building and set the crystal down in case he needed to defend against a surprise attack from one of Unit 5. But it wouldn't seem as if he needed to. For barely moments after he came to a stop on the rooftop. The world seemed to rumble and his ears were filled with the sound of one thing. Thunder. Antione's Action・───────➤ Antione huffed as Axel tapped on his shoulder to notify him of the clouds, and gave him a glance of Confidence in return. this was something they had planned for. Granted, this was something they had prepared in the scenario of having to face off against Lexi or Martin, but in this scenario, there wasn't a better move to do. As Axel ran off to collect the crystal, Antione looked to the sky with a frown on his face. trying to calculate what they were attempting to do by setting up this screen. A sneak attack maybe? it was definitely possible. As these thoughts ran though Antione's mind, he felt the rain begin and all of a sudden came to a realisation. He swivelled round to face Rai and gave him a nod with a smile on his face. They both knew what was about to happen, Unit 5 had overplayed their cards. Wasting no time, Antione bashed his knuckles together and his skin very quickly developed a steely colour. Except it wasn't just colour... With his now steel coated body, Antione crouched down and thrusted his hands into the earth. sinking them to the wrist and clenching his whole face in preparation for what was to come. and oh buy did it come. Antione felt his entire body rush through with volts of lightning to the point where the could swear his nerves had just up and left. however, he wasn't feeling any pain. Using his entire body as a lightning rod he was successfully diverting the electricity that would shock him into the earth as a dampener. this would not stop the electricity from spreading out through the entire cloud. As he was, himself, conducting electricity through his body. only the skin was steel. Looking up, he watched Rai place his hand on the railgun. and Smiled, knowing that they were about to win a battle that they previously didn't even intend to fight. link Antione had his hands shoved into the gound to conduct electricity. as such, he would not be taking any damage from his Teammates attack. ╭────────・Shimura's Action・───────➤ Shimura would grin, his plan finally gone into action. There would be a loud flash, as a white streak came crashing down from the clouds above. although it did hit the general area of where the team was, it was nowehere near them to actually hit. Why? He simply couldn't see them. It was a blind guess and a miracle that he even hit the general vicinity. Better luck next time for him. Obi's Action・───────➤ ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟎-𝟏 - 𝟒.𝟓 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩」> The cloud, the beautiful free cloud, the free haven and the defence and cover against their foes. Obi is going to give that up. He begins to take one step forward as now he has begun his fall. ESTIMATED TIME OF DROP T-MINUS 3 SECONDS. Obi unsheathes his new, clean, pristine silver sword from its buckle like casing as sheets of mana get layered and layered on top of each other like paper (reinforcement magic) making his hands freer, the sword lighter, but also making it pack a punch as well. ESTIMATED TIME OF DROP T-MINUS 2 SECONDS. The Luxurious white hooded cloak flutters in the air similar to a butterfly as obi continues his free fall. His grimoire opened and floating by his side, as its instantly on the page that obi needed since obi is always tearing pages from it. ESTIMATED TIME OF DROP T-MINUS 1 SECONDS.The mana leaving obis system as the ground forms into a layer of parchment even where the enemy team where stood on. He easily and hastily readied his sword as he was approaching the ground. Time to repent. . ESTIMATED TIME OF DROP T-MINUS 0 SECONDS. The pure speed obi is launching at, is as if he's a white blur. as he hastily reaches the ground the paper envelopes him. Now stood face to face with unit 2's crystal. While obi begun his descent, nine figures appeared towards rai and Antoine. Three of unrecognisable from an actual human. as the taller one draped in a white robe carried a crystal. The six spartan infantry next to them launched there spears towards rai and Antoine. As the clone that had spiky silver hair whispred, "Your going down . . ╭───𒌋𒀖 「𝟒.𝟓 - 𝟓.𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞」> As obi appeared before the crystal, it was weak before the extreme pressure and killing intent he exerted. (purely for describing you cant detect him by this). The sword weighing near to nothing now allowing free movements, obi attempts to slice through the crystal. The speed he does this is remarkable making his normal hit speed (1 second) sliced in half. If this attack hits the crystal would be cut into two hence making us win the game. Axel's Action・───────➤ As he stopped running, Axel noticed the floor suddenly turn to parchment. Immediately, Axel assumed that Obi was planning to do something and he started scanning all his surroundings using all his senses. Mainly sound. As Axel had his guard up, keeping a lookoit for Obi, the person in question suddenly appeared in front of Axel from the paper. And Axel watched as he raised the sword to slice at the crystal... But Axel wasn't going to let that happen Axel thought in every way possible of what to do, But now that he casted his Thunder Fiend spell, this wasn't nessacary. Axel was ready to move in incredible speed and attempt to cut Obi's arm off so he won't be able to cut the crystal and win. "Better luck next time Obi" Axel was also thinking what would happen if he wasn't able to cut Obi's arm off, it would be a shame if Axel couldn't since he has his boots on allowing him to run at spectacular speed. it would also disappoint the Slicerway family. So Axel decided not to give up in the pursuit of making Obi fail in slicing the crystal in half! If Axel cuts Obi's arm off, Axel would be able to combo attack Obi and slice him. Raijin's Action・───────➤ As the clouds began to descend and it begin to Rain, Rai had looked excitedly at Antione. But noticing Antione attention turnt elsewhere, he decided simple to go through with it on his own. Rai rubbed his hands together and waited for the cloud to fully cover the ground as Rai's hands crackled with electricity. He suddenly heard Axel and Obi's clash and a determines look over fell his face. Rai would have to end this quickly. Knowing that regardless of the result that he wouldn't be disturbed. Without delaying for even a second. Rai's eyes went wide and electricity burst out of his body The rumbling has begin the burst of electricity spread out around Rai like a Web, spreading throughout the cloud almost instantaneously, a sphere of static that grows even larger and larger, adding to the static that was naturally there. The positive and negative charges residing at both the top and the bottom of the great cloud light up in a sudden flash of splendour. Unleashing the untapped silenced rage of the unawaken storm, now awakened. Lightning crackling and striking the ground everywhere, the cloud that had once provided Unit 5 with an advantage, now went against them as with huge bundles of electricity. Everyone's ears rendered useless under the guise of the sheer sounds of thunder. The faint smell of ozone drifts through the humid air, characteristic of a lightning storm. Rai Relished in the electricity that coursed throughout the cloud with exhilaration. This was his storm. And he'd like to see anyone try to take that away from him. Immidiately his hands flew to the railgun and grabbed it. While his eyes scanned the cloud. He would only have one chance at this and... There! Shown in the sky directly was a silhouette. It was far away, but Rai could tell that it was a person. Having no way to discern who it was, he could only assume it was Kingston or Shimura. Regardless of who the outline belonged to, Rai was determined to not let the railgun go to waste. And taking out a member of the enemy team would put them in a great position. Everywhere his electricity stretched, every drop, every crackle, every strike of lightning, all of it, lit the sky up like a switchboard. Anybody within the clouds radius would be hit with a jolt of electricity and freeze up momentarily. Shimura thought he could bring a storm to the party? No. Rai was no longer the creator of the storm, but the storm itself. The thunder to lightning. Rai pointed the barrel of the railgun to where the slowly fading silhoette had been ease. The railgun, which was capable of cutting through anything in it's path. Was not locked onto Kingston, and with no hesitation, Rai slapped his palm against the railgun. Since the railgun was already charged and poised, this small action of touch was all it took for the combined efforts of unit 2 objectified into a single weapon to activate. "It's. Over." A huge beam of pure concentrated electrical energy jettisoned from the gun, cutting through the air, forming a column of empty air within the cloud, and vaporizing all the vapor in it's path temporarily. The beam shot directly through the crystal and, by proxy, Kingston himself. Shattering the crystal and leaving a large hole directly theough Kingstons abdomen. before Kingston even had time to register what had happened, it was all over. Unit 2 had finally come out victorious. The railgun sent a whole straight through Kingstons lower body and sent a discharge of electricity coursing through his body. It would have felt like just a dream to him. The crystal slipped from his loosened grip and both him and the crystal tuples from the cloud. The crystal crashed to the ground and shattered into small peices. The light blue colouring slowly turning pink… and then red. UNIT 2 WON! Axel saw Raven and wondered how he would beat a star magic user, its impossible! Axel noticed 5 stars around Axel and 2 of them right at his throat, ready to kill him. Axel had a simple plan! STATIC SPHERE Axel focused his mana to the floor and made a 3.5 meter sphere made out of lightning, this sphere would slow anything and anyone except for Axel Axel then safetly jumped over the stars and ran away and grabbed his sword and he crouched, he thought in running towards Raven but that wouldn't be a great idea so he stayed still. Raven raised his eyebrow seeing his opponent stun his stars persay static electricity was quite interesting so see in lighting magic, however he forgot about the 2 stars in opposite ends of him, since he was jumping at this point he really had no hope of dodging this attack with it's pure speed 4 beams 2 from each star would fire into axel ribs to try and cause pain, if this was enough pain to may him cry out, one of those said stars that just fired at him would teleport inside his mouth to melt the skin and such it touched and with the size of this star he wouldn't be able to close his mouth, he wo a have to grab it out with his hand and burn it all to hell or let it say inside his mouth and have it slowly stop his breathing. Decisions decisions, Kelvin would then form two my stars out of his grimoire grabbing one and making it into a large spear. "Star magic transform star." he says aiming the tip of the spear at Axel if he was still dealing with the previous attack Raven would fire a beam out of the tip of his spear aimed right at axel chest, star magic if used correctly is deadly, but the way to use it was damn brutal Kelvin only recently started to give up is ideals of killing, he would do what was necessary to win. "Are you going to just stand there or are you going to do something about this.?" The beams hit Axel and it hurt Axel a bit but not enough to make him cry in pain instead of crouching, he decided to take Raven seriously and decided to attack! THUNDER ARROW Focusing his mana to his hand to form a big arrow thats at incredible speed, he shoots at Raven while he's distracted. He might dodge. as he avoided most of Ravens attacks he had to get truly serious, but he was hit by these arrow the pain was immense, but no this wasn't over Raven wo pick up one of the stars next to him and eat it, this would heal his wounds quite a bit while Axel attacked hit it was over at this point, Raven then took axel as a threat, a star would teleport behind Axel and Raven moves his finger slightly, as that movement happened Raven would teleport behind Axel, he then took his spear and went to thrust it into his lower spin, if this spear hit axel he would be paralyzed from the waste down, but that was just step one, every other start infront of Axel would fire at him, and the 2 in the side would continue his pressure, this attack would only take a second to commence, the time he had to react was minimal at best, Axel could attempt to block the spear, or he could attempt to block his beams of light that were again aimed at his throat, there where 6 beams in total this time. STAR MAGIC CONJUNCTION "I promised your brother I wouldn't kill you." he would say after his attack planned out, as if they play hit axel the fight would have been over, hard to fight without legs after all. Axel saw Kelvin get hurt and heal himself and he noticed that Kelvin was really focused so Axel looked around and saw a spear teleport behind him THUNDER FIEND Axel fastly focused his mana into body and formed boots and claws, this spell would make him super fast (as fast as luck) so Axel ran away from the spear and went behind Kelvin so the spear would hit the ground. right before when axel used the static field while this would have slowed down the beams a thine line of light would already be connecting the stars together making a cage, he could jump up at the cost of a limb or something more valuable, axel wouldn't be faster then this beam of star light it just wouldn't make sense. Due to the amount of mana he forced into this spell, so no his static field and his own speed would be enough to bypass this, he would be trapped like a rat in a cage, there were hole in the cage of course but not large enough for a human to escape, the lights would connect to each star over and over again and that made the wholes much smaller, after he was completely trapped Kelvin would pull on the light completely shedding Axel like a cheese grater the base spell alone could cut down large walls made of stone, but this, this was just over kill, he was done playing with his pray, Axel unless he had a spell Kevlin didn't know about was nothing more then paste on the ground, even if he had the time to react he would be trapped, even if he had a spell to stop this time time frame he had to cast his spell eas miscue at best. But if some how he got out he would be up due to axel being slowed down from his web of destruction. STAR MAGIC QUATILE FLAGELLUM "Its over...." Axel gets trapped in a cage but before the cage closes, Axel casts a spell to hit Kelvin in the head THUNDER ARROW Axel focused his mana to his hand and formed a big arrow and he throws it at Kelvin and then the cage closes. Kelvin would see this and smile the last spell of a dying man, 4 stars would appear and form a barrier infront of Raven this would block his arrow leaving a small crack In the barrier however it left quite the mark, Kelvin sighed he broke his promise with rai, eh these fights seems to bot exist afterwards she he would see axel again he just didn't know when. STAR MAGIC: QUARTILE SCUTUM "I beautiful battle indeed, tell your brother I said hi when you can." Raijin's Action・ ⎠───────➤ Two men walk through a large open field. The barely green yellow grass brushes by their legs as they take their strides forward. Each step closer and closer to an impending battle. Their boots hitting the watery soil in a recurring beat, as if each foot forward was a strike of a large drum. The gentle wind causes the whole field to tremor with joy. The sun beats down on Rai's coppery skin, causing it to shimmer in the early morning sunrise. He gazed up at the large expanse of orange sky that seemed to go on endlessly across the horizon. cloud_lightning "what a beautiful day" he thought cloud_lightning "such a shame it is, such a shame that my future is dictated by the same gentle weather I can not help, but find myself admire." He snapped back to the journey in front of him, eyes focused and determined. He drew the interesting weapon contraption he carried at his side, a large sword with several detatchable daggers sticking out of the hilt. He stared at his eyes in the reflection of his own blade. They were fierce startling yellow eyes that seemed to glow with intensity. Oh how much he has changed since his emergence. Oh how much he has changed. His pristine white grimoire floated nearby him to his left, the pristine pages flipping quickly to the passage Rai desired to see, one of his favorite spells, a classic you could say. The book itself crackled with static electricity, small sparks flying from it's pages until it finally reached the desired page. The text glew yellow, and Rai began to gather mana into he very tio of his sword. It was a significant amount, compressed in such a small area. When he was finally ready, he tapped the sword to the ground ever so slightly. A small, relatively unintimidating ball of electricity zipped forth. Reaching the ground near Oscar almost instantly, and dissapearing. The spell did no damage, and did relatively little to nothing, and now it was gone. Rai then concentrated on his mana once again. This time focusing it into his various limbs and muscles, and a large portion going into his brain. This was not the first time Rai had attempted something like this, the last time he had ended up dead. However this time, he had learned how to control and limit the flow of his mana, to ensure it didn't run wildly rampant throughout his body. The mana continued to flow throughout Rai's various body parts, his power and strength increasing gradually in a very short amount of time. The crinkles in his eyes sparkled with electricity, and the air around him seemed to carry the scent of ozone. His eyes grew to a more and more radiant yellow, getting brighter and brighter with each passing millisecond. His hair also began to change as well, becoming lighter and lighter, losing it's original black luster. Rai closed his eyes for but a second, and upon opening them, his body lit up with electricity, his hair turning white as snow and his eyes shifting into a crimson red color. Lightning was coursing through his veins and ehancing his physical capabilities and speed. His mind was operating at record speeds, processing and reacting almost immediately. The grip on his eccentric weapon grew even tighter, his knuckles turning white from the sheer strength of his grasp. In one step, he covered the short 10 meter gap between him and his enemy, aiming for his pelvis and attempting to cut him directly in half. Rai was pulling no punches, and this was his absolute prime form. Oscar would walk the lush green fields with his same flowing claok that he always has on. It was yet another battle the leader had to go through after they just had gotten out of another battle, though to be fair that battle had barely started so there was no complaining on Oscars part. In fact Oscar was the opposite of angry.Oscar was glad that he got to face a opponent. Through tough times Oscar had led his team to strive and be the best they can be, to do the best they can do. Though with all these speeches Oscar himself could not show what he himself was capable of, he did not want people to think he was all talk. He wanted to back up his words of motivations with actions. So here we are, face to face with a man and only ten meters seperating them apart. Oscar did not care what the man was saying he was only caring for the man's movements and actions. With the man's Grimore opening Oscar would draw his broadsword and his own Grimore that floated in the air. As Rai's grimore was pristine white Oscars was more of a darkish red/brown a opposite one might say. Was this man royalty? And thus the match had begun with a small blue ball of electricity zipping bear Oscar and dissapearing. Oscar was no fool he would quickly take steps back from the orb as he predicted it may have been a mine. Oscar seeing the man turn more radiant would open his Grimore turning to a page before reaching his hand out towards his Grimore. Out of his Grimore would erupt a blood Scythe. Then Rai would instantly dash in front of the man aiming to slice Oscar in half from his pelvis. Oscar with almost no time to think would use his blood scythe already near his pelvis to thrust forward on Rai's sword using the gaps in between each part of the scythe to take the blunt force of the attack. Meanwhile the sharp edges of the scythe would Pierce into Rai's arm a bit only dealing 5 percent damage. Rais sword would be blocked by Oscars Scythe while at the same time he blocked it Oscar would stab Rais chest forcing him to take a good bit of damage or back up and have some distance between him and Oscar. ╭────────⎝ ・The Rising Falcon Never Falls・ ⎠───────➤ Rai's aim and execution was perfect. His blade was on the exact precise and speedy path Rai had wished it to follow. It's speed incredible, carrying itself to it's target. It was a simple, and brutal movement, a slash that carried no excess of waste of powers Until that is... Oscar took out his scythe. In a flash, Rai's perfect aim was thrown off, and the blade was redirected away from Rai's original target. Oscar had used his scythe to steer his enemies attack off course, and managed to slash a little bit of Rai's arm in the process too. Not without repucussions however, his arm also carried a similar injury. Small beads of blood flowed to the surface of the wound, dripping only slightly, and staining the new hole in his white jacket. The scythe blades were currently in Rai's arm, a rather minor wound, but a wound nonetheless. Oscar's arm had a similar cut, Rai's daggers attached to his sword hilt puncturing his skin in a similar fashion. Oscar's reaction speed was nothing short of exemplary, being able to notice that attack, let alone deflect it. This man was formidable, and there were several reason as to why. However, all that meant to Rai is that he had to be more formidable. As Oscar was performing the deflection, Rai's enhanced body and mind were running through ideas that would happen next. Scrolling through tons of different and possible spells and abilities available at hand. His yellow eyes glowing, thinking at record speeds, processing thoughts in mere milliseconds. When Oscar and Rai settled into the position they were in now, Rai acted with no restraint. | • [cloud_lightning] Lightning Magic: Voltaic Throwing Dagger (Point Blank Edition) | ボルタの投げ短剣 [cloud_lightning] • | One of the daggers that had punctured Oscars skin lit up with bright yellow electricity. In one swift movement, Rai used his empty hand to shave the dagger deep into Oscar's arm, stabbing him with the voltaic dagger point blank. The electricity immediately took effect and traveled through the rest of Oscar's body, paralyzing him completely. As both of the blades Clashed Oscar failed to calculate the daggers within the man's handle that pierced him as Oscars Scythe pierced the man as well leading to them both piercing each others arms. Drops of blood spewed out of there arms getting inbetween Oscar and Rai's gaze. In the milliseconds of processing ideas as that drop of blood fell to the ground Oscars gaze could finnaly be seen. It was a gaze of pure demise that led to a curling stomach in Rais stomach. Oscars Grimore would turn a few pages as Rai settled into the position they were. As Rai began to get ready to activate his spell full of confidence thinking he won this battle it was infact the opposite. As Rai was about to cast his spell he would freeze in place.... His eyes would turn white and he would have no control over his body. The battle was over. "It was unfortunate you were faced against me. I was in no particular mood to have a long fight but I am in a perticular mood to show my power to everyone. Its not that your weak it's the fact you got matched up with me." With no control over his body the battle was over. Rai would raise his hand and strike himself in his head with his full might and power knocking himself out. Had that not worked he would make Rai stab himself in the chest with his own sword ending the battle. All that was needed was a scratch with his blood scythe and that was the battle ended. (ALL DEATHS ARE NON-CANON!)
