"What kind of agreement did my brother offer?" asked Xavier probing.

Elena looked away. There's no way she would tell Xavier what happened between her and Elleard. It was too embarrassing to share.

"I can't say that, it's too intimate for others to know," she said curtly.

Xavier looked at Elena curiously. He wondered what Elleard wanted from her. Xavier couldn't really guess because after Elleard woke up from his coma, he somewhat changed. So, sometimes Xavier thought Elleard was no longer the brother he knew.

Maybe, being crippled changed his personality a little bit, and the fact that Lisa left him also left a big scar that made Elleard sometimes become bitter and unpredictable.
