This morning Elena had to learn how to act as an elegant upper-class woman when accompanying Elleard. A special teacher named Madame Elroy was invited for this particular purpose.
She patiently taught the future Mrs. Osbart how to behave and speak for an upper-class woman, so that she would not feel inferior when dealing with people in a formal setting. Right now, she was teaching Elena how to maintain her attitude when she wanted to ask Elleard when they were in public.
"You can see this example, Madam." Mrs. Elrory smiled sweetly and stood up to demonstrate. She turned to look at the man beside her.
"Honey, I want to talk for a moment." She smiled sweetly and gently tugged the elbow of the man who was modeling Elleard.
"Oh, alright…" Elena nodded in understanding. She paid close attention to all of Madame Elroy's lessons and even took small notes.
Within three hours, she and her teacher tirelessly practiced all the essentials that she must master in order to carry herself well as Elleard's wife. The wedding was coming up so fast and she must already be able to practice what she learned when she was presented to the guests.
This whole thing made Elena so nervous and she tried to work hard to learn. She didn't want to embarrass Elleard and, of course, she also didn't want to embarrass herself.
Elena had to pay attention to what she said, her way of speaking had to be straightforward but still elegant. Elena was also taught how to sit and walk with her chin slightly raised.
Elena started walking steadily and her chin lifted slightly.
"Sorry, madam. Too high," said Madam Elroy several times. "Lower your chin just a liiiiitle bit. We don't want people to think you are arrogant or cold."
Elena cleared her throat softly, then swallowed her saliva. She lowered her chin slightly.
Oh my goodness, it's so complicated to learn how to be like those rich people, she thought to herself. Elena had to repeat the same movement many times.
The lessons continued with getting Elena familiar with all the drinks by color and aroma. Another thing that was no less important was that she had to get used to wearing high heels because Elleard liked it when his wife could look beautiful in high heels.
Elena who was not used to wearing high heels actually felt so tired, but Madame Elroy continued to encourage her to endure the pain and get used to it so she would look elegant and beautiful to make her husband happy with her.
When lunch arrived, the lesson continued with table manners. Elena was taught different types of dishes and the cutlery to use for different types of dishes.
"Tomorrow we will continue the table manners, madam. That's enough for today," said Madame Elroy after ending the day's lessons. "You are very smart and you are a fast learner."
"Thank you, Madame," said Elena gratefully. "See you tomorrow."
After class, Elena returned to her room with Greta. He took off the high heels that he had been wearing for a long time. Without being asked, Greta gently massaged Elena's legs.
"Thank you, Greta. If it weren't for you I would have passed out. Today is so tiring."
"You must save your energy for tomorrow, Madam. Now you better get some rest."

On the night before the wedding, Greta accompanied Elena in her room. The bride-to-be was anxious about tomorrow morning. Her nausea didn't want to go away even after taking some medication. The doctor said that Elena was nervous. She was too stressed thinking about her wedding day.
Elena lay covering her body up to her neck while Greta sat beside Elena on the bed. Elena tightly gripped Greta's hand. The maid was also worried to see Elena's face that looked visibly stressed.
"Madam, do you want me to call Master Elleard?" asked Greta.
"No, he's busy. I don't want to keep bothering him," said Elena, shaking her head weakly.
Elleard had already come twice today and checked on her. He stayed for half an hour to caress her forehead to reduce tension and even though it did make her feel better she felt embarrassed that she looked like a sick child that had to be coddled.
She also didn't want him to think she was a bother. So, she pretended to feel better. If Greta called Elleard again, Elena would be embarrassed. It was better to try and sleep. Hopefully, she would wake up without the anxiety. Even though she doubted it.
"Try to sleep, madam." Greta took a cup of chamomile tea and gave it to Elena. "Drink this tea. My mother said chamomile is the best for anxiety or sleep problems."
"Thank you, Greta," Elena mumbled. She took the tea and finished it. She didn't feel much better but she appreciated Greta's care.
After she put the cup back on the side table, Elena closed her eyes. Finally, because she was really tired, she fell asleep. For a while, Greta was still there to make sure Elena was really asleep, then she left the lady's room.
When she came out of Elena's room, Greta saw Eleard outside the door.
"Master," Greta said, bowing respectfully.
"How is she?" asked Elleard, glancing at Elena's door.
"Madam has just fallen asleep, Master." Greta lowered her head once again as she reported Elena's current state
"All right. You may go. We need you to help out at tomorrow's wedding."
"Will do, Master."
Elleard turned his wheelchair and moved to his own room at the end of the hall. Greta watched him ride away without blinking.
