"You wanted her gone. She is gone. Why do you even care now?" Rachel asked him. She didn't forget to call him out on his shit. Rachel and Zian were friends for a long time. In the office, they were boss and employee but out of the office, they went back to their dynamic of being friends again. 

"Rachel, I did not want her gone. I just don't want her to follow me to China and given how stubborn she is, even if I beg her, she wouldn't listen to me. If she can come to Korea following me, China is not away, "Long Zian replied as he ran his hand through his hair in frustration. "Lord… why would she leave without saying a word?"

There were too many barriers between him and Mira and even if he wanted to, he couldn't erase them quickly. It would take time and Mira was getting impatient. She wanted him to announce they were a thing. It wasn't that he didn't want to, he just couldn't.
