章節 293: Terrible accident
"Yes I admit, but all of that can come to discussion later. All I asked is-"
Cutting him off, Sebastian yelled angrily, revealing the veins on his neck, "God-damnit Liam! Do I look like a caregiver? Or somewhat charity or philanthropist? You're the only one said and regarded to be his only son all these years so stay out of my life and get lost in hell with him. I-"
"Sebastian hand me the phone." Petra who had already knew who's on the other side of the call demanded with her hand extended.
Widening his eyes in shock, Sebastian stammered, "M-Mom, it's a business call, you-"
Before he could complete his statements, Petra snatch off the phone from his hand. "Liam, what do you want from my son? Haven't you and your mother damaged enough lives already? Did your mother sent you to spy into my son's whereabouts?"
"Hell no, Aunt. Even if she asked me to do so, I swear I won't, because-"
Cutting him off, Petra laughed mockingly, "Because what? Huh?" When Nelly placed her hand on her shoulder, she snapped harder, "You think you can play pretend? Today is my daughter's day and I won't have anyone ruin it, you get that?"
"Of course not, Aunt. Why will I ruin your mood or someone else's day for no-"
"For every reason, Liam. As long as I know, you and your mother are very good at sticking your noses into other people's businesses and playing sly like spy kids." She gritted her teeths, she added, "I've had enough of you guys all these years but pressuring my son and bugging my happy family, that I won't take from you and your-"
"My father is hospitalized. He had a terrible accident last night and now he's in a coma."
Widening her eyes in shock, Petra shouted, "What?!!!" The phone slipped off her hand and she ended up collapsing helplessly to the ground.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa," Sebastian and Ryan quickly grabbed her.
The neutral expression on everyone's faces turned into a weird and panicking one.
Nelly felt uneasy, worried and broken after seeing her mother collapsed on her wedding day. She don't know whether to faint or die at the same time. She tapped her mother so many times while Sebastian and the other's are trying to wake her up.
Calvin quickly pulled her into his embrace as he tried to comfort her even while she's struggling to run out of his grip and rush towards her mother.
"Let go of me, Calvin. Can't you see, my mom just collapsed, what did Liam said to her? What did that bastard said to my mother that made her faint?" Nelly cried out. If only Liam is standing right here right now, Nelly swore she would have placed a bomb inside his mouth and explode his 32 set of white teeth and brain out.
"Calm down, darling." Calvin tried to coax his wife.
Jin-joo on the other hand was also confused with the ambiance and situation around her. Today is a day everyone should merry, why is sorrow bubbling around them? Looking at her husband's face, oh no she began to panic. The tears in Sebastian's eyes had started rolling down like a child who just turned an orphan before his own eyes.
Shaking her face, Sebastian panickly called her out, "Mom, mom, look at me, stop acting up and wake up. Have you forgotten? It's Nelly's day today." When Jin-joo placed her hand on his shoulder and joined him to wake his mother up, he gritted his teeths, and coldly instructed Ryan who was on the phone, "What did that vagabond said to my mother? Ryan hand me the phone!"
"Just a sec, Seb. He is sending the address."
After grabbing a bottle of water as Collins had instructed her, Jin-joo unsealed it and poured it down on Petra's face. Forgetting it might wet her husband's blazer and ruin Petra's beautiful dress.
Few seconds after, she regained consciousness. When she sneezed Sebastian panicked even more and Calvin released Nelly.
"Mom, are you alright?"
Looking at the multitudes who surrounded her while staring back at her, Petra blinked her eyes. How could she be fine? She just woke up from a numb state because- wait a minute.
Widening her eyes in shock, she panicked after remembering the reason why she fainted. "Grayson? Where is my Grayson?"
"That's it, we are going home." Without waiting for anyone's reply, Sebastian held Petra's hand and forcefully took her along with him. Jin-joo grabbed her purse and Petra's before rushing towards them.
Struggling to get off his grasp, Petra snapped, "Are you crazy? Your father is in the hospital and you-"
Cutting her off, Sebastian retorted, "I was born without a father, mother!"
What did he just say? Petra jerked his grip off and landed a resounding slap on his face. Jin-joo who was standing by widened her eyes in shock followed by the others.
Breaking into tears, Petra said, "How could you say such a nasty thing in this condition, Sebastian?"
When he took his hands from rubbing his cheek which his mother just slapped and turned away, Petra added, "He loved you right from the very day you came into this world. Just because things turned out to happen in an unwanted way doesn't mean he doesn't have affection for you."
Not wanting to listen to the crap she has to say, Sebastian turned towards Ryan, "I'm taking mom and Jin home now. So it's obvious we can't join you guys for the reception thing, so help Calvin out and-" Looking at Nelly who was already shedding tears, he added, "Hey, it's your big day, cheer up. You know how much I hate to see that look on your face."
"Seb, what are you saying? We're going to the hospital together to see uncle Grayson-"
Cutting Ryan off, Sebastian stated volubly, "There is no uncle Grayson and no one is going to ruin my sister's day by abandoning the needful and attending to the unnecessary."
