The door was knocked, Francisco shook his head, signaling Mike to scamper toward the door.
Gao Guang crossed his legs in a relaxed fashion, but feeling it lacked propriety, he put them down, only to worry if his upright sitting made him seem too tense.
As Gao Guang hesitated, Mike peered through the peephole before swinging the door open.
Ronnie walked in alone. As Mike peeked outside, Ronnie gestured, "I came by myself, no one else."
Mike closed the door and Gao Guang subconsciously stood up, then pointed to an armchair, "Please, have a seat."
Ronnie's coming alone was a token of his sincerity, assuming, of course, he hadn't arranged for men to secretly surround the house. But since John had not sounded any alarms, it meant he had indeed come alone.
