I followed Mia to this one enclosed room that had tons of wedding gowns in it. "Sometimes, the store hides the best gowns in here," Mia said as she and I started to look.
"I'll browse around and see if I find what I like," I told Mia.
Unlike how it was with Mrs. Mill. Mrs. Collin, Veronica, Zoey, and Mia have been asking me what I like and my ideas for the wedding dress. Mrs. Mill kinda pushed that princess-style on me. But my real taste was more along the lines of a Gothic pure white gown. I kinda figured maybe they were only getting me motivated by allowing me to get what I wanted.
Taking me away from my thoughts, Mia's phone rang. "I'll be back, my mother-in-law is calling me," she informed me after taking her phone out of her purse. "Are you going to be ok or should I get someone?"
"I'm good," I replied and she sorta nodded before disappearing across the store. Veronica, Zoey, and Mrs. Collin were off elsewhere in the store picking something new to wear for the wedding. Mia was doing the same but she and I were looking around together. My forming friendship with Mia was reminding me of my friendship with Crystal. But that didn't mean I was anywhere close to trusting Mia or anybody else.
"This is cute," I mumbled while picking up this sparkling white gown, but it wasn't fully me, so hung it back on the rack. Then I moved along to the next gown.
Suddenly, I heard something huge scurrying behind me, but when I turned there was no one here. But something about the room was darkening and the lights flickered above my head. I could even hear the voltage sound coming from the flickering lights. What is going on? I thought inwardly to myself.
The whole room has gone cold. Cold enough that I could see my breath. I had to be mentally traveling into my time gap but yet I was still here. My surroundings were only getting chillier. The wedding dress pinch between my fingers and thumb had ice shimmering over it.
"This isn't possible," I merely whispered, seeing my breath.
Then within that second, the room warmed up and the lights stopped flickering. I stared confused but things looked normal again. Now I only heard people walking around shopping for gowns. Following that were the sounds of joy. I walked to the edge of this enclosed section and peeked out to see this young woman going crazy over this wedding dress with her family and friends.
"This will look so stunning on you," I overheard her mother say.
Following that the girl's friend said, "Harry will love it on you!"
I watched as they giddy themselves away with the dress. My heart stung to think about the idea of marrying Kai. In my head, I always pictured I'd be marrying Orlando. Not only was I heartbroken but my mind was dwelling on these non-existence memories, I could have had with Orlando. Trying to even fathom this idea to think I'll be marrying Kai was harder to imagine. It's hard to marry someone you don't love.
Unexpectedly, from staring down at the floor. This dark shadow figure moved from behind my back. I quickly turned my heel and saw nothing in this enclosed room. There was only me and these neatly organized bridal gowns. Yet there was this undeniable eerie presence in here. It's like something nonhuman was lurking inside this enclosed room.
"Victoria," I heard this whisper and spun my face forward. I was startled enough to step back. To see this tall attractive young man standing here wearing a Gothic-style trench coat. His Gothic-style dress shirt was black and the same as the pants he wore. This man has a defined square-shaped face, thin-upper lips, and deep-set brown appealing eyes. He has the killer looks but something about him alerted off like a warning. The way his eyes narrowed seductively at me gave me a chill. His eyes pierce at me with the hunger to feed on me. The fact he knew my name was more alarming.
"How do you know my name?" I questioned him but that grin on his face enlarged. Through his eyes, I could read those dreadful mischievous thoughts he had stirred in his mind.
"I saw you at the club that night with Orlando and Kai." He replied with this questionable smile. I wasn't sure how he knew Orlando or Kai but right now I didn't care.
"I'm sorry, I can't recall if I know you," I said, trying to be strong. My heart was racing and I was quite scared. And it didn't help when the man stepped one step closer saying. "My apologies, Victoria, but my name is Rex."
When he stepped another step closer. I stepped back to keep my distance from him.
Without expecting it my eyes drifted into darkness and Rex faded before my sight. I found myself in a flashback in this closer viewpoint of Elena on the picnic table. These five men were biting her flesh and the one man was caressing the blood all over her stomach. Drips of her blood splashed the blades of green grass from underneath her. I heard her breathe fading something that the vision didn't show me. I swear to have heard those five men chugging as they sucked on her neck and arms. Then I saw the clear face of the man caressing Elena's blood on her abdomen. It was him!
My eyes snapped back to the present time! I wasn't fully aware that I had left to mentally travel in the past. My breath gasped for air as I felt warm liquid dripping from my nose. I wiped something warm and wet to see blood on my finger. Then I realized this man was still here maliciously grinning at me
"You killed my friend!" I gasped at the man and he grinned more sinisterly.
"So it's true," Rex said. "You can mentally travel between times."
How could he possibly know that?
Before anything else was spoken by him or me. The next thing I knew he invaded my space and grasped my wrist that had the blood on my pointer finger. So seductively, he pulled my finger into his mouth and sucked on it. My chest was rapidly moving from my deep breaths. As I helplessly watch this psychotic maniac. So very slowly he pulled my finger out of his mouth while making this seductive suction sound and cleaned my finger clean of the blood.
"You know I can't figure out if you are a Mill or a Collin," Rex said with an unappealing seductive tone. "Nevertheless, your blood tastes so delicious."
