After eating our breakfast, Miku and I took a small break. Touya, Linze, and Elze have also finished with their breakfast.
"So Touya, any plans on how not to die? If it weren't for my help, I'm sure you would have kicked the bucket."
When I said that to Touya, he clenched his chest and acted as if an arrow had struck his heart, as if he was hurt by my words. I could only laugh dryly at his antics.
"I have already asked Linze to teach my magic. I know that without learning it, I would be good as dead in this world."
Oh? Since Touya asked Linze to teach him magic earlier than canon, it appeared that the plot had been altered. Not that the plot hasn't changed, despite some fureizu here and there, but you get the idea.
"You should learn magic because it will reduce your chances of dying. However, keep in mind that those glass-like creatures will not be harmed by magic because they can absorb magic but not too powerful magic that is way out of their league in absorbing magic. They also have a limit and take advantage of that when you use magic against them."
"Also, magic that is not directed towards them, such as magic launched towards the environment or any other location, will not be absorbed by them; keep this in mind if you ever meet one."
I told Touya about the fureizu race and their weaknesses. But I hadn't told him about the fureizu classes yet, which didn't matter because Touya was too weak to handle even Intermediate Class Fureizu even if he learned some beginner magics.
So if Touya came across an Advanced Class Fureizu or even a Ruler Class Fureizu, he was done for. I'll just hope that his body is still intact so that I can hold a funeral for him if that happens.
I thought the concept of protagonist plot armor was strange. Since Touya would have died if I hadn't saved him, but his plot armor had caused him to be barely alive when I arrived.
It was just too coincidental that I had arrived at Touya when he was on the verge of death, because he could have died by the time Miku and I arrived to save him. So I could only assume it was Touya's plot armor that worked, but it wasn't very reliable against Living Anomalies like me.
After all, I could have not saved Touya even with the reward that Zenchi-san had provided me with. Well, if I could, I would still save Touya even without Zenchi-san's reward since Touya was a potential bro and I like his personality when I had read [In Another World With My Smartphone] even if he was a Beta MC. In fact, Touya was the best Beta MC that I had known of.
So I am glad that Touya didn't die a dog's death. It would be too shameful if he died at the first day of his transmigration to this world. That would be too shameful. I am looking at you, Subaru Natsuki the Simp.
Touya learning magic earlier than canon should provide him with some means of attack when fighting the fureizu. I'm not sure how many fureizu have infiltrated the World Barrier through the hole my OmniTravel made, but I'm sure the numbers aren't small. So Touya required all the strength he could muster.
It was too cruel for Touya that he encountered a fureizu when he didn't even have his cheap katana. Makes me question how thick his plot armor was.
