The waiting time was rough. 

I almost lost my sanity counting bald heads. I don't find it fascinating, but I had to do something about the waiting period.

I'd hate to keep reminding Winter about his past with Dorax and ask her questions she didn't want to answer.

I drummed my fingers on my thighs. 

The game was finally done. And it was no surprise that Dorax won.

But now it was up to Winter to take action. 

"I'm here," I assured her, whispering. "Don't be afraid."

"Thank you," Winter whispered, excusing herself as she approached Dorax. He was cheered on, clapped shoulders, and congratulated by many for the win.

"But know that if he tries anything,"

Winter hummed. 

Dorax's men blocked the way. I felt Winter flinched as Dorax noticed us, giving us a sideways glance. 

He signaled to his men.

By now, what Winter did to the men he left back in Tollista must have reached him.
