章節 39: 39- Still In The Police Station
"Veronica Smart," She answered.
"Hmm, Miss Veronica Smart, where are you from? Do not say that you too are from Lambtown."
"I am from Novantes, Chain village."
"And on what purpose you are here?" asked Inspector Robert.
Veronica fidgeted in her chair. Everyone around her was looking at her. As if each life was dependent upon her answer. Matthew was sitting beside her. He was too fidgeting a lot. Perhaps he was too feeling uncomfortable inside the police station. : she thought. Why am I feeling uneasy? I have a reason behind it. I am on a secret mission. But why Matthew is fidgeting? Perhaps it is common-civilians'-police fear complex.
She was trying to make eye contact with Matthew, yet he was totally withdrawn. A fake smile was pasted on his lips.
Poor boy. Then he looked into the Inspector's eyes. Stared hard.
