Vernon snapped out of his daze once he heard a knock on his car window.

Knock. Knock.

"Hello? Can I come in now? It's literally freezing here!" 

Vernon unlocked the door, and the woman he was supposed to meet sat on the passenger seat, complaining as she tried to wipe the snow off her coat, "Geez, what took you so long to unlock the door? This winter coat is so expensive, I can't afford to replace it if it's ruined!"

Vernon stared at the woman sitting next to him for a while. A lot changed after she got ditched by Vincent. 

First, she looked unkempt now. 

She still had the beauty Vincent would love but looked haggard and old. She was probably under too much stress, and working in Walmart to make ends meet wasn't the most comfortable job either.

'Hm... I'll have to send her money for a treatment. She needs to be absolutely stunning in front of Vincent,' Vernon thought.
