"Yeah, c'mon, tell us about true magic. That stuff sounds fun!"
Lucy's voice appearing from out of nowhere made Red Hook and Kahglia jump. Fortunately, the boat was sturdy and only shook a little.
"Fuck, man! Where did you come from?!"
Red Hook looked at Lucy, who sat on Kahglia's other shoulder as if it was the most natural thing in existence. Lucy tilted his head as he looked at Red Hook.
"I dunno. Toz, maybe?"
"What's that supposed to mean? How did I not notice– You know what? Nevermind."
Red Hook held up her hands in resignation as she wasn't even going to try and understand Lucy. She looked at Kahglia, who had managed to wipe the shock away from her face.
Phew, a nice piece of worldbuilding (filler) right there! :)
jk, it's just nice to have a gentler pace after writing a war.
In other news, Hell Restoration Project is off to a gentle but hopeful start. And I've also written a decent chunk of chapters already of another novel that I'm going to start uploading soon.
I hope people like necromancers :D
