"Who is your father, and from what pack is he?" Sophia asked. 

"My father is John Matthew. Most people know him as the Alpha King. He has many packs, but our center pack is the Ferocious Pack," Henry said, obviously proud of his father. 

Hearing John Matthew's name caused a different sensation in Sophia. She didn't understand why, as she didn't know him. "Henry, tell your father about your being here. He must be worried."

Henry bent his head. "I can't."

"Why not?"

"I ran from home because I was a bad kid." Henry still stared at the ground. 

Sophia put her hands on Henry's shoulders. "Henry, whatever you did, you can still fix it. Believe me. Your father will be so relieved to see you home."

Henry shook his head. "My father is everything I want to be. He is strong and kind. As a pup, I wanted to grow up just like him. But then, …."

"Then?"
