"What are you going to do?"

Raul shrugged his shoulders to Nick's question. It has been two hours since Olivera had left the office to her room, two hours since she had openly rejected the offer of being his Luna. He knew that his comrades blamed him for this outturn, including Nick, but that they weren't that heartless to jab him too.

The only person who hadn't cared was Jeremy. If anything, he seemed relieved that Olivera had rejected the Luna title.

Was he that selfish? Raul thought, looking at the lad, almost regretting giving him the gamma title. He had known of Jeremy's escapades with two of the slave girls that always fought over him.

Olivera wasn't aware. But Raul was sure that she wouldn't be too quick to defend her best friend if she knew of this. Maybe he should let her know. He didn't mind it was petty. The problem was that she wouldn't believe him. And that was his fault.
