As we got deeper into the building, I lost count of the corpses that I stepped over.

The majority of which looked freshly killed. 

At the doors of an office, we all paused, seeming to hold our breath at the same time.

Matt stepped forward to knock at the door.

"What is it?" Alex's tone was cold and aggressive, so unlike the way, he spoke with me.

Right now, both Holly and I were suppressing ourselves, so he should not know I was here.

I gulped and stepped to press the handle, stopping last minute to see Holly's hand resting over mine.

I turned to see her looking up at me with a worried face.

When I shook my head at her, she pulled back reluctantly.

I pressed the handle down whilst holding my breath, and opened the door then stepped inside.

In the dim light, that peeked through the blinds, I saw Alex leaning against a desk, arms folded and face pensively in thought.

"Alex?"
