"Theodore!" Elena and Fife yelled.

"don't worry, he won't be hurt" Gad assured them.

"Why should we trust anything you say?" Fife asked bitterly.

Theodore landed in front of the shadow man. 

"What is your name?" the man asked.

"Theodore"

"the name of your father?"

"I have no idea"

"is your mother human?"

"yes she is"

"and she told you all about the tree and the lock"

"yes she did"

The shadow kept quiet after Theodore's response.

"What do you think master?" Gad asked.

"I think he might be who we are expecting but he has to take the tests to be sure"

"What tests?" Elena asked.

"to test whether he is a human or not" Gad replied.

"What do you mean by that? Theodore is a human, we are all humans."

Gad peered at her, "you two are humans, that's for sure. But he is the one I am confused about, I can't tell what he is."

"Theodore is a human" Elena insisted.
