I was taken to court. When I awoke in the morning, Ian was not with me, and two maids were in charge of grooming me. The older one is Gina. The other one is Lucy. They led me through the corridors and finally to a door. Two guards opened the doors on either side, and Gina motioned me in with her eyes. While she and Lucy stayed outside.
I walked in uneasily, and many people in the hall, men and women, all dressed in gorgeous court dresses. When they saw me come in, everyone's eyes were on me. I felt as if ants were crawling all over my back, and I felt uncomfortable and nervous.
It was as if I were a prisoner on trial, and the eyes of those people were arrogant and cold.
Directly in front of me, three men sat on thrones. One was an older man with gray hair and a crown. To his right sat a woman of undetermined age, but judging by the wrinkles on her face, the woman must have been older than my mother. They must have been what Gina called the king and queen.
