章節 271: The Wedding

Sunlight shone through the stained windows of the chapel. Gemma pressed a hand to her belly as nausea swirled in her stomach. 

She was standing at the entrance of the chapel with her father. Guests were already seated inside, and she could see Miguel standing at the altar with the priest waiting for her. 

Would it be too late for her to turn around and run away? If she goes through with this, she would be tied to this man for the rest of her life. For life!

Does she want to do this? Was the type of life that she wanted for herself? A marriage she is being forced into. Of course not. She wants a marriage based on love and not this. 

"Are you ready?" Her father asked her. 

Gemma turned to look at him and she slowly shook her head. She is not ready, she doesn't think she can ever be ready for this.
