Ava could feel Nancy's hatred for her from where she was standing. Her lips were pressed tight together in a frown, a murderous gleam in her eyes. If looks could kill, Ava would have dropped dead on the spot.
"Nancy, what are you doing here?" Mason asked as he stepped forward to intercept Nancy before she got to Ava.
Nancy gave out a dry chuckle, "I didn't know I was no longer welcomed here. Since when do I need permission before coming to your place?"
"Nancy, bring down your voice," Mason said to her.
"What do you want?"
"What is she doing here? What are you doing with this…. This tramp….."
"Watch your language!" Mason cautioned. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself down before he said, "Let's go upstairs."
"Better," Nancy said, looking at Ava with so much disdain before she turned around and stormed off towards the elevator.
