Maddie impatiently tapped on the countertop of the bar. Her date wasn't here yet. She glanced at her watch. What was keeping him? It was already an hour past the time they both agreed to meet and he still wasn't here yet. She brought out her phone from her purse and texted him.

"Hey, what's up? I'm waiting for you at the bar where we agreed to meet. Are you still coming?"

"Would you like me to get you another drink?" The bartender asked Maddie referring to her already empty glass of martini.

"Um....." She contemplated for a second. Getting another drink didn't seem wise, she already had two glasses of martini. She doesn't want to be drunk by the time her date finally decides to show up.

"Some water please," she said pushing her empty glass to the bartender.

She looked at her phone screen, still, there was no reply from her date.

"Where the hell is he?" She muttered in frustration.
