Micah knew there was something that Hazel didn't tell him because based on what Jaxon told him when he escorted her that night, she went all the way into the depths of the forest, when he knew very well that she was afraid of doing such things.
Therefore, it was not an exaggeration to say this.
"What do you actually want? Something happened when you went out with Jaxon, right?" Micah studied her expression closely and was sure he was right.
Hazel lowered her gaze and then mumbled something incoherently, as she tried to avoid Micah's eyes, but he pinched her chin and coaxed her to look at him.
"Tell me." Micah captured her eyes with his. Those grey eyes of hers were so bright and she looked so nervous. "You said it yourself that you don't want to be kept in the dark and I have to come as clean as I could with you, but why are you being the one who keeps secrets from me now?"
