Hazel wondered if the Duchess had been swapped with someone else on their way to this nursery room, or something, because the difference in her attitude was so clear.

"Where is the baby?" Hazel asked when she saw the Duchess simply sit down on the couch and let one of the maids pour a cup of tea for her.

"Baby?" She repeated her question. Her voice was so cold, not like before. "Do you really think I will show you my baby?"

Seeing this sudden change of attitude, of course, made Hazel sigh deeply. Her back was still in pain and she didn't think she was in the mood to face someone like this right now.
